1 JOB TITLE : DEPARTMENT : LOCATION : POSITION : REPORTS TO : ETL Developer Information Technology London Home Based Full time, 6 month fixed term maternity cover contract Applications Manager JOB PURPOSE The ETL Developer is responsible for the daily operation of ETL processes including troubleshooting issues and performing development on new and existing ETL jobs. This role also provides backup support to the production DBA. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES You will be responsible for: Ensuring that ETL processes run as scheduled. Managing jobs in the Informatica environments to ensure that exception logs are managed, with some support being required for Talend and Datanomics. Performance tuning ETL jobs as required. Producing ad-hoc data extracts, data patches and data uploads as required Work with technical & business staff to develop field level data mappings to aid in data migration and to build interfaces Creating & maintaining data dictionaries for different areas of data Demonstrate a strong grasp of database architecture including SQL server and Oracle databases and database access tools Supporting implementation of business intelligence and integration solutions Adhering to standards in all work products and participate in the refinement of those standards to improve quality and productivity Documenting procedures to facilitate cross team support of ongoing operational interfaces and regular data patches Understand and communicate technical issues and solutions to the business JOB CONTACTS Internal BPP Data management team BPP Group IT Apollo Global IT staff Data Quality team and DQ manager

2 Key Performance Measures ETL interfaces run per agreed SLA s Data uploads are performed per SLA s All operational activities ascribed to this role are documented to allow other team members to perform the activity during absences. All interfaces owned by this role have field level mapping documentation kept up to date Change processes are followed for all development / bug fix work. Skills, knowledge, qualifications required for job Significant experience in a data analyst/systems analyst/etl developer role Advanced level SQL skills Some experience using Informatica in a small team. Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving Able to occasionally work out of normal hours on urgent customer facing issues Comfortable performing development within motivated timeframes Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment Excellent teamwork skills and collaboration abilities Strong written/verbal communication skills Must be willing to travel on rare occasions both domestically and internationally

If you are assessed as an Eligible Job Holder, you will be automatically enrolled into our Group Personal Pension Plan. A 1% pension contribution will be deducted from your monthly salary via salary sacrifice and you will receive a 1% Employer pension contribution as well as receiving the full benefit of the Employer s National Insurance contributions of 13.8%. You will be able to increase your contribution, with BPP matching up to 5% either during the Annual Benefits Selection Window or once you have completed your probation period, whichever comes first. Employees who are not assessed as an Eligible Job Holders will still be able to join our Group Personal Pension Plan once they have completed their probation or during the Annual Benefits Selection Window.
