11 TERM 1: LEADERSHIP, INNOVATION, & INTEGRATED SYSTEMS A combination of 5 courses and projects that will guide the student through innovative leadership skills, effective management techniques, and strategic thinking to solve real-world problems. Projects include creating a plan to provide underserved populations with medical care through affiliations, providers, and financial stakeholders. Special emphasis is placed on communication and collaboration. Recommended path: 2 courses, 3 projects

12 TERM 2: QUALITY, FINANCE & ANALYSIS A combination of courses and projects that will expand the students knowledge on strategic financial management in the healthcare industry. Lean Six Sigma principles and strategies will be utilized to promote quality through data analysis. Projects include addressing problematic wait times in a Level 1 Trauma Center using Six Sigma principles and strategies. Emphasis is placed on financial data and statistics in evidence-based data. Recommended path: 3 courses, 2 projects

13 TERM 3: ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT, HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, & POPULATION MANAGEMENT A combination of courses and projects that will provide foundational information on the laws, ethics, and best practices of strategic risk management; HIT integration, use, and security; and management of population through data and modeling. Projects include analyzing data and implementing plans for effective risk management, and reducing health disparities through utilization of health information technology. 14 TERM 4: COMMUNITY HEALTH & INTEGRATED HEALTH A combination of courses and projects that allow the student to demonstrate strategic management skills such as communication and collaboration, application of data to problem solve, and high-level, consumer driven health care implementation plans. Projects include application of strategies and actions consistent with an organizational mission, community interest, and collaboration. Recommended path: 1 course, 1 project (and Capstone)

15 CAPSTONE PROJECT The student will complete a prospectus and business plan to identify a problem area in the healthcare industry. Students will identify and propose a solution through completion of feasibility plans, collaboration with healthcare industry leaders, and a sustainability plan. Students are encouraged to work with local healthcare leaders to make a positive impact on their communities, as well as expand their professional portfolios.
