2 Compliance pharmacist Join us as a pharmacist after your 3rd state examination or with a PhD Your tasks will include: GMP-compliant manufacture of medicinal products Continuous improvement of costs, supply service and product quality Involvement in projects to optimize processes or increase efficiency, for example Dealing with general GMP questions and observing trends inside and outside the company Dealing with complaints, deviations, checking manufacturing documents, standard operating procedures, employee training Planning, implementation and documentation of validation projects Processing manufacturing documents Preparation and implementation of internal and official inspections Responsibility for pharmacists during their internship (practical year) Interaction with functions including Quality Control, Registration and Drug Development Pharmacist / laboratory manager in Quality Control or Analytics Join us as a pharmacist after your 3rd state exam or with a PhD Your tasks will include: Dealing with GMP and Compliance issues in collaboration with the functions Development, Production, Engineering and Quality Assurance Analytical issues such as stability testing, water analysis during monitoring, validation reports for analytical processes, life-cycle management for test procedures and quality specifications Supplier qualification Involvement in process optimization in Quality Control Release analytics for manufactured medicinal products Involvement in global processes including coordination with involved countries, Registration and / or Development departments for the submission of new test procedures Preparation and implementation of internal and official inspections Responsibility for pharmacists during their internship (practical year) Once you ve joined us you ll find a lot of interesting opportunities for career development Supply Chain Management or Launch Manager you ll liaise between Global Project Management, Logistics and international pharmaceutical production sites; you ll prepare the individual production functions and sites for the on-schedule launch of new medicinal products Plant Manager / Head of Production you ll coordinate and be responsible for operations in a production segment, e.g. manufacturing or

When I arrive in the morning I can never tell exactly what decisions I ll be taking and what problems I ll be solving that day. I particularly like having responsibility for a specific topic and knowing that my expert views are vital in ensuring that the manufacture of medicinal products can get off to a smooth start. It s not purely an office job; for me it s the perfect combination of PC work and interaction with lots of different partners. These include the people working in Production, colleagues in other functions such as Logistics, Registration, Project Management and Development not forgetting my contacts at the other sites, especially those in the United States and Japan. Dr. Denise Mocha, pharmacist, currently Head of Pharmaceutical Affairs at the Supply Center Berlin The time I spent as a pharmacist in Quality Control was interesting and varied because I was involved not only in pharmaceutical manufacture but also in the analytical, quality and regulatory issues. I was also regularly involved in pharmaceutical and analytical development. That made the work consistently exciting for me I really enjoyed collaborating with a wide variety of functions and international colleagues in Japan, Canada and the United States to clarify quality-relevant aspects, for example. Another important aspect of my work was managing a laboratory group of 15 employees; I was their central contact, a task that made demands on both my technical and my management skills. Dr. Martin Herpel, pharmacist, currently Product Technical Complaints Manager in Global Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety What I really loved was the steep learning curve and the teamwork. The extremely varied tasks in pharmaceutical production, the contact with other functions and the interaction with other sites did more than just improve my technical skills. The good career planning and numerous opportunities for continuing training that a major corporation like Bayer offers allow you to make rapid progress in the company. In addition, the job gave me my first management experience because I was responsible for our interns, pharmacists in their practical year, on an ongoing basis. On the whole it was perfect preparation for a more challenging position. Dr. Franziska Rank, pharmacist, currently Launch Manager in Supply Chain Management, Pharmaceutical Production Instead of direct entry into pharmaceutical production, would you prefer a trainee program? Not a problem! The 24-month trainee program for pharmacists combines assignments in various functions and production locations, at least one period abroad, involvement in projects, personal-development seminars and support from a mentor. Apply as soon as you have completed your studies or your doctoral thesis. You ll need top grades and experience in another country and must be keen to take on responsibility soon, to deal with strategic issues and to pursue an international management career. The selection process takes place once a year, usually in spring.
