6 Mission and goals Development directions Raising the level of science research stated by the position of the university as a research university in knowledge and innovation communities, Improving the academic education concentrated on students in combination with shaping their personalities for the civil society, Creating a wide professional educational offer of postgraduate studies and different forms of continuous education, corresponding with the social needs and especially the labor market. Developing and fostering a strong feeling of the academic community based on intellectual and social association of students, graduates and employees of Wrocław University of Technology and developing and maintaining good relationships with its closer and further environment industry, local, national and international organizations and especially with graduates, Improvement of internal processes and balanced development of the universities resources.

9 LLL mission Wrocław University of Technology as an academic research institution defining the directions of development of science and technology provides its students, listeners and employees access to current knowledge resulting from ongoing research processes. Through various forms of access to lifelong learning, the University has created the conditions for obtaining, updating and upgrading of knowledge through continuing education of all concerned. University of Technology as an academic community is open to supporting the development of their students at every stage of their life. In pursuing lifelong learning, the University works with employers and other interested businessc entities contributing to the acquisition of new skills and qualifications tailored to the labor-market by the whole community.

10 LLL vision in 2020 Masters are part of LLL system - are entered in a flexible, modern system of lifelong learning, We realize the openness of education through internationalization and flexible organization of framework, At least 50% of those using teaching offer of University (students, graduate students, listeners, participants in specialized courses) - are LLL students We have the widest range of teaching offer in the Lower Silesia region - including a fourfold increase in the offer of postgraduate study, We have a wide range of courses supported by e- learning techniques - 10% of all realised courses, European and National Qualifications Framework have been implemented. We use, defined with the Academic Qualifications System, approach to the recognition of competence already accomplished by the candidates - university qualifications frameworks allow for the relevant certification in this area

11 LLL vision in 2020 We defined areas excluded from the voluntary choice to continue studies in the second degree because of the external professional certification requirements, We increased the permissible range of choice of further educational options, after first degree graduation, after fulfilling the requirements formulated by the Universitiy, Graduates have the key competencies expected by employers in: teamwork, problem solving, decision making, project management, business ethics, We have launched an efficient system of information and advice on career development for people planning lifelong learning at the Wrocław University of Technology,

12 LLL vision in 2020 We develop innovative methods and use various forms of lifelong learning through which students gain knowledge and practical skills relevant to labor market needs. We cooperate with employers, local authorities, academia and other interested parties to improve the LLL system We support occupational and geographic mobility of students and graduates We employ the best practitioners to conduct specialised teaching based on professional experience. We have the educational infrastructure adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

14 Implementation The implementation of the strategy will need to take the following steps: Establishment of a centralized marketing and organizational structures - the LLL Center Running the appropriate web site and on-line registration Preparation of an expanded range of courses Advice and training on career management as an essential element of marketing

15 Implementation The implementation of the strategy will require the development of the following procedures: new statutory regulations and internal orders elaboration of the principles of valuation for individual courses establishing of financial rules (calculations, settlement, billing between departments and units) establishing of rules for the calculation of resource use separation of resources for the development of LLL in the form of educational investment Following the formal adoption of the strategy - preparing business plans, objectives and indicators for monitoring
