1 About The Accountkeepers The Accountkeepers is not your typical bookkeeping firm. We are the better alternative to hiring an inhouse bookkeeper. Every Accountkeepers client has a dedicated accounting team - a bookkeeper for the day-to-day work, and an accounting manager to ensure it's all done correctly. Our teams interact with their clients face to face, whether in person or through video chats. We have a personal relationship with our clients and deeply value outstanding customer service. The Accountkeepers also leverages the best accounting technology available. We move all our clients to a cloud-based accounting and file storage system, and we automate roughly 50% of our clients' bookkeeping work. This increases accuracy, and lowers cost. Also, we ask that all applicants please read our Company Values below to make sure we re a good match before submitting an application. - All applications are due Friday January 5 th at 5pm EST. - Within a few days, select candidates will be invited to complete a short assignment. - Select applicants will then be invited to an in-person interview. - If selected for this position, we will request two references from past employers, we will conduct a background check, and we will ask you to complete an online assessment. 2 Accounting Onboarding Manager Job Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Onboarding Manager (AOM) who is interested in working at a different kind of company. You ve read our Company Values below, so you know what we mean by that. We are looking for people who love accounting, play well with others, like to learn new things, don t need an office environment to work successfully, and want to be part of something amazing. The AOM has an extremely important role at The Accountkeepers (TAK). The AOM owns and manages the process to onboard all new TAK clients. Once a client signs on with TAK, they are the AOM s responsibility, and the AOM gets them ready to pass over to their long-term accounting team. The onboarding process typically takes days for a new client. Strong accounting experience coupled with strong customer service skills are paramount for the successful AOM. The AOM works closely with TAK s CEO, CTO, and accounting team. AOM Responsibilities and Expectations include, but are not limited to: Leads entire new client onboarding and management process including: o Main TAK contact for client once they sign up o Create a seamless onboarding plan for each client o Meet with clients face-to-face o Onboarding all clients onto TAK processes and systems o Liaise with TAK CTO to ensure client is properly onboarded onto TAK technology, including transition to new accounting software if needed o Create efficiencies in client s accounting file, such as bank rules and automatic reports generation o Move client s payroll provider if needed o Set up GL mapping with client s payroll provider o Get client s accounting up to date, if behind o Correct any incorrect accounting practices of client o Complete first clean month of full-charge bookkeeping work o Drafting accounting manual and accounting checklist for all new clients o Passing clients over to their long-term Accounting Manager & Bookkeeper team o Set follow up meetings with clients after they are onboarded o Check in with clients after 90 days to ensure all is working well o Other duties as required The successful AOM should love an accounting challenge, enjoy learning new things, be energized by working with others, and deeply enjoy helping clients. We use a lot of technology at TAK. Technology is the core of our service model. You need to be comfortable with learning this technology and using it daily.

3 Being the first main contact for our clients means you must be able to manage relationships and meet expectations. Excellent customer service is vital for TAK, and you must embody that. Onboarding multiple clients at once means you are highly organized, and don t need anyone to remind you of what needs to be done for your clients and colleagues. Using checklists and manuals daily to ensure everything gets done in a timely manner and nothing gets dropped. Requirements for this position: Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting, with at least 7 years experience as a senior accountant, controller or finance director Minimum 2 full years using Quickbooks Online Quickbooks Online Advanced Certification preferred Experience with other accounting software is a plus CPA preferred If no CPA, bachelors degree in accounting required Exceptional customer service skills required Experience performing all facets of full-charge bookkeeper required, including performing bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, AP and AR accounting, payroll, monthly close, adjusting entries, 1099 filing, worker s compensation audits Experience running and setting up client s payroll required Comfortable with, and like using, new technologies Bill.com certification preferred You re working remotely, so you have to be a self starter You will have multiple clients, so you have to be very organized Must love learning new things and enjoy an accounting challenge Must be a strong team player with a sense of humor Perks of working at The Accountkeepers: Salaried position Medical, dental and vision for you and your dependents Flexible spending account Contribute 5% of your salary to a 401k, no match required Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance Unlimited paid time off Flexible schedules available Work remotely Training opportunities

If we want to be the best outsourced accounting option for our clients, it s important to continue to improve. That means paying attention to things that seem sub-par, too timeconsuming, or tasks that could be done better, and brainstorming better solutions. What does this actually mean for TAK? At TAK, we question things that feel inefficient or sub-par. We question the status quo, and wonder if there s a way we could do something better or faster. And employees at TAK always have time to check out a new technology or application that might make their, and their client s, lives better. Proactive. Why is this important? Because we re our client s accounting team, we are their outsourced accounting department. They expect us to take care of everything within that scope, and they don t expect to have to ask. We re the accounting experts, and our clients expect us to know what needs to be done, and do it. What does this actually mean for TAK? We re on top of it. No one needs to ask a TAK employee to do something on their list. No one needs to check in on them. There is no micromanagement at TAK. And when something isn t on a list, but needs to get done, we are on top of it. Listening. Why is this important? Listening is one of the most important life skills. As long as we listen to our clients, and make changes when needed, we will always succeed. As colleagues, as long as we listen to each other, and make changes where possible, we ll create a successful work environment. What does this actually mean for TAK? We ask our clients how we re doing regularly. If something isn t ideal, we change it. It s not about being perfect, it s about listening and being adaptable.
