If this is yu we are particularly seeking a number f new trustees with expertise in the fllwing areas: a) Leadership, Chairmanship and Gvernance we are seeking an experienced individual t take n the rle f Chair f the Bard t steer the Cmpany thrugh an exciting phase f develpment, sustainability and financial independence. This is an excellent pprtunity fr a well- cnnected, cmmitted, highly skilled and dynamic individual with experience f gvernance and cmpany develpment t prvide leadership at a pivtal pint in BPACT VOYAGE s develpment and grwth. b) Financial, legal and HR expertise- we welcme the input f a skilled financial and legal rientated prfessinal t help ensure financial prbity, assist SORP requirements, strengthen ur human resurce management and plicy requirements by taking n the rle f Treasurer. c) Experience in private sectr business r enterprise- We are an entrepreneurial and enterprising charity lking t expand ur wrk natinally and make this a mre cmmercial endeavur. T supprt this we are seeking smene with high- level skills t assist this drive fr a mixed ecnmy and taking frward this strategy whilst adpting new fund raising events fr e) Educatin, research and develpment We are keen t engage trustees that are invlved in higher r further educatin psitins t assist the shaping and develpment f new curses, gear these up fr n line delivery, assist curse expansin and accreditatin. We als welcme mre assistance arund building prgressin pathways fr ur yung peple and help us explre new n hk mdels f educatinal engagement. f) Inter/natinal develpment we are seeking t extend ur partnerships with yuth led rganisatins natinally and arund the glbe and seek new Trustees wh can assist ur missin cnnecting these pprtunities t ur yuth. We are keen t develp regular cntact, exchanges and annualised visits frm natinal and internatinal partners linking ur wrk t prgressin pssibilities and wrk experience pprtunities. Vyage s Bard f Trustees meet up t 6 times per year, with pprtunities t get invlved in specific wrking grups, meeting partners and investrs and take part in a brad range f structured activities and events established via ur Ybpa, ur parent bdy the Black Plice Assciatin (BPA) and the Natinal Black Plice Assciatin (NBPA). 3 3 Trustees are appinted at the AGM in Dec/ Jan, fllwing a recruitment prcess designed t ensure the trustees cllectively have the range f skills, knwledge, understanding and experience needed t hld legal respnsibility fr the rganisatin, as set ut in the skills prfile fr Trustees. Trustees are bliged t ensure that VOYAGE cmplies with: its stated aims, prject and plicy bjectives, regulatry requirements f Cmpanies Huse and the Charities Cmmissin relevant legislatin, requirements set dwn by funders, stakehlders and investrs its memrandum and articles f assciatin and ther gverning dcuments. Ensure the financial slvency, stability and prbity f Vyage Safeguard and psitively prmte the gd name and values f Vyage Mnitr the perfrmance f the Executive team, prviding line management supprt and supervisin in line with plicies and prcedures r delegating this functin as apprpriate. Observe a schedule which delegates decisin making and authrity t the Executive team, which shuld ensure that the Executive team: develps and implements a strategy, business plan and budget maintains effective plicies fr the adequate running f the rganisatin effectively carries ut all ther delegated duties n behalf f the trustees In pursuance f these respnsibilities, each Trustee will be required t: Attend at least 75% f full Trustees meetings (which will be apprximately every tw mnths). Read papers, s etc Lead and cntribute t discussins Attend training sessins as arranged frm time t time t supprt them in their rle. Directrs may be asked t undertake ther duties, which, as required and as apprpriate, include: Assist with drafting r reviewing f plicies, reprts, accunts r financial statements etc Supprt recruitment and selectin prcesses as required and as apprpriate Liaise with r attend ther meetings r therwise make input and cntributins based n their skills and expertise, as required by the Executive team in rder t effectively manage and develp the rganisatin.
