3 Executive Summary 1 The main objective of conducting Employee Satisfaction Survey was to set a benchmark for level of satisfaction among employees as well as identifying the major areas of concern among employees in the organization. 2 Survey was conducted among SpiceJet employees based on six parameters ie Work Culture and Policies, Job Satisfaction, Sense of Belongingness, Rewards & Appreciation, Communication and Compensation & Benefits. 3 68% SpiceJet employees filled the survey and 70% employees shared positive feedback with respect to working conditions in the organization while 14% employees shared neutral feedback. Key Findings Two major parameters identified where employees shared positive feedback were Job Satisfaction and Sense of Belongingness. 2. The biggest area of discontentment among employees was identified as Compensation & Benefits. Contributors towards EMPLOYER BRANDING 1. Job Satisfaction 5 2. Sense of Belongingness 3. Work culture & Environment Open Door culture 4. Team culture 5. Work place 3
4 Employee Satisfaction Survey Objectives and Methods Survey Objectives Set a benchmark for level of satisfaction among employees as well as identifying the major areas of concern among employees in the organization. Target Population Target Population included employees of SpiceJet who joined till 31 st August 15 working across different departments and survey was initiated on 19th November 15. Feedback was received from 68% employees (2,526 out of 3699 employees). Methodology Questionnaire was designed addressing all the parameters affecting employees work and their work environment. Survey was floated through a web link to obtain their feedback. Analysis was done to understand employees satisfaction in SpiceJet. Survey Content Survey involved 31 Questions (Five Interval Scale) based on Gallup Q12 Survey and used 6 indicators : Work Culture and Policies, Job Satisfaction, Sense of Belongingness, Rewards & Appreciation, Communication and Compensation & Benefits 4

Culture of Team work exists. 2. Management follows an Open Door policy, where I can approach them at any given point of time. 3. Policies are fair and objective. 4. Policies are clearly communicated. 5. I have been treated with respect and dignity. 6. I can voice my opinion (promotes Involvement and Empowerment of employees). 7. My superiors welcomes and accepts my feedback. 8. SpiceJet offers work-life balance to me. 9. I am working in a comfortable and at a safe place (Safe workplace). 10. My Organization offers Equal Opportunity to work (no racial, gender, age, color, religion and nationality based discrimination or differentiation). 11. My job makes good use of my skills and abilities. 12. I am continuously challenged to deliver my best. 13. I am growing professionally as well as personally by updating my skills and learning different things. 14. Overall, I am satisfied with my job. 15. Every morning I get up and feel motivated to go to work. 16. I feel encouraged to come up with new and better ways of doing things. 17. My Work gives me a feeling of personal accomplishment. 18. Management looks to me for suggestions and leadership. 19. I am happy for my involvement in decisions those affect my work. 20. I am getting the opportunities and the respect, which I deserve. 21. I have a feeling that I belong to SpiceJet. 22. I am rewarded for the quality of my efforts. 23. I am valued by my supervisor. 24. I feel that I am an important part of SpiceJet. Questions 25. The Company does an excellent job of keeping me informed about matters those affect me. 26. I am satisfied with the information I receive from the Organization on what is going on in my Department. 27. I am satisfied with the information I receive from the Organization on what is going on in my Organization. 28. The compensation program is fair and equitable. 29. Compensation program is competitive compared with other Aviation players. 30. The salary increments are fair. The increments are based on performance rather than favoritism. 31. I am satisfied with the benefits provided. 5

In total, 15% of employees expressed their dissatisfaction towards work culture. Two major parameters identified where employees shared positive feedback are Job Satisfaction and Sense of Belongingness. The biggest area of discontentment among employees was identified as compensation & benefits. 6

9 Challenges while Administering the Survey The process was reinforced multiple times on employees. Most of the Employees were unwilling to attempt the survey. Employees could not access the survey link due to the following reasons. Did not have access to their systems. Many employees did not have their official Ids. Technical facilitation was not possible.
