18 Slide 17 Taking Action Making Changes Smoothly: Change one thing at a time slow and easy does it Define your goal in simple, active, and positive words Write your change goal and post it where you see it daily If your change affects other people, tell them what you plan to do and why. Discuss your goal. If they have other ideas, listen. The discussion itself may lead to a better working relationship. A great deal of practice may be needed before a new behavior becomes natural

Strive to be honest in your communication, respect others, and maintain a positive attitude in all your workplace interactions. Your efforts will contribute to a more productive work environment and provide great benefit to your organization. 2.
