2 Head of Senior Media Officer Social Media Manager Digital Manager Event Manager (part time) Content Editor Media Officer Digital Officer Officer Purpose of role: Brooke has significantly increased our media coverage and activity in recent years and we know that even more is possible. Our new Media Officer will enhance the capacity of the team so that we can continue to grow Brooke s brand awareness and supporter engagement. This position is ideal for a Media Assistant looking to step up to officer level, or a Media Officer early in their career looking for new experience. Key tasks and responsibilities: 1.Research, draft and distribute media notices, media comments, articles, features and letters often to tight deadlines. 2. Ensure all information released by Brooke Press Office is factually correct and engaging. 3. Monitor and evaluate media coverage to deliver monthly reports. 4. Undertake regular media liaison and secure coverage in regional media, working closely with our regional Community Fundraising Officers to promote events and fully utilise our Community Groups, Regional Fundraisers and representatives. 5. 3 6. Arrange and co-ordinate interviews and photo opportunities to secure media coverage 7. Maintain our media contact database and case studies in our digital asset library 8. Provide relevant media support for our Public Figures programme 9. Support media activity by working with digital and social media team members to provide digital content, and proactively maintain the media sections of our website. 10. Work closely with every member of the Comms team to deliver integrated communications across all channels to create maximum impact for Brooke. 11. Occasional overseas travel. General 1. 4 2 Demonstrable experience of working in a press office, either in house or agency and a track record of securing coverage through successful media relations. x 3 4 Great interpersonal skills and resilience, able to build strong working relationships with colleagues, journalists and external contacts.
