14 TALENT MANAGEMENT COMMON FEATURES Features under this section are available to all talent applications. APPROVAL AND FYI NOTIFICATION PERSONALIZATION As a Human Resources Administrator, you can now personalize talent notifications. Personalizing Notifications Using the Oracle Page Composer, you can selectively show and hide various components of the notification, including fields, labels and regions. Display Options You can edit labels, color, and the page layout. 14

15 Content Style Options You can also add custom text and external links to the page. STREAMLINED NAVIGATION To simplify navigation for users and encourage usage of new user interface components, our delivered menu structures are changing. The following menu items are moved from the Navigator and springboard to the simplified navigation: Directory > Person Gallery About Me > My Portrait About Me > Talent Profile New menu items available are: About Me > Skills and Qualifications About Me > Career Planning Beginning with release 7, Oracle HCM Cloud has delivered enhanced pages and navigation to replace functionality available within the Person Gallery work area and the portrait pages. The new Directory provides a robust search and an updated organization chart, replacing similar features which were available from Person Gallery. You can access additional worker details from the 15

16 View More Details icon in the card view. The expanded card shows the same information available in the person Smart Navigation. The expanded card contains an additional subtab that includes the direct reports of the person you are viewing. Actions previously available from Person Gallery are easily accessible from the Actions menu in Smart Navigation. Actions Available from Smart Navigation Worker details previously available from the Portrait pages are consolidated in the new feature, Person Spotlight. You can access Person Spotlight by clicking the name of a person in Directory, Smart Navigation, My Team, Team Talent, and Team Compensation pages. 22 PERSON-RECORD KEYWORD SEARCHES IN TALENT MANAGEMENT APPLICATIONS You can now ensure consistency with person searches across Talent Management applications and improved application performance for regular searches. Person searches in Talent Management applications use the same keyword search engine used by the Person Management work area. The following Oracle Fusion Talent Management applications use the new search engine: Career Development Goal Management Performance Management Succession Management Talent Review These applications no longer automatically append every person keyword search with %, with the exception of two person searches in Talent Review. By automatically appending the %, the search included the CONTAINS clause. Therefore, the search results included all person names that contained the search term. Now, all Talent Management applications search for the specific text only when you manually append the search term with the percent sign, % (without quote signs), the application search will include the CONTAINS clause. Talent Review, however, has two exceptions to the person search: when using the Find Worker action from the dashboard, and adding an associated worker to a task. In both cases, search is limited to the reviewees in the current review population for the meeting. TIPS AND CONSIDERATIONS The following table shows the person keyword exceptions and record keyword searches in Talent Review that use the same search engine as the Person Management work area. 24 LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT LEARNING CLOUD Oracle Learning Cloud enables you to make a transformational shift in learning delivery. Subject matter experts in your organization can easily publish videos and assemble tutorials to deliver on-demand and social learning. Collaboration features encourage continuous community feedback. LEARNING COMMUNITIES Create and join top-down or collaborative learning communities to bring together groups of learners around a specific business objective. For example, you can create communities for Sales Training for 2016, New Hire Training or other community topics. Community members can recommend learning items to other members and collaborate socially within the community. Communities can be public, restricted or secret. You can setup communities to enable members to contribute learning items or restrict the contribution to only community managers. You have the flexibility to create custom roles using the Learner, Learner Manager, and Learning Administrator roles restricting the access to features and data in the application. MANAGE PRICING FOR CATALOG ITEMS Attach a price to an offering. The learning administrator can set prices on offerings and on offering access groups to customize the price for specific user populations. Pricing line items are configurable and extensible to facilitate detailed pricing, for example you can have a pricing line item for the actual cost, and another for related travel costs. The total price for a learning item is recorded on the learner's assignment record upon completion of the assignment for historical and reporting purposes. Offering Prices in a Course 42

The price can consist of several line items such as training price, price for materials, travel and accommodation. The learning administrator can set courses, offerings and specializations to active, which means learners can be signed up immediately, or the learning administrator can set them to requested, which means the learner will have to request signup. If a course, offering, or specialization is set to requested, the request for signup first goes through an approval process and then it has to be activated by the learning administrator. Learners can request both existing courses, offerings, and specializations and they can request new ones to be added to the catalog. 43

The learning administrator will sign the learner up for an existing or newly created course, when the learning administrator activates a request for a noncatalog item. TRAINING EFFORT Inform learners of expected time spent on training and record time spent by the learner on training. Maximum expected effort and minimum expected effort gives the learner guidance on the time needed to complete a course and expected effort gives guidance on the time needed to complete each activity in the offering. After completing the training, the actual effort is registered for each learner. Self-paced learning is automatically registered by the application and Instructor-led training is manually added by the learning administrator. 44

ADD PARTICIPANT PROCESS SIMPLIFICATION You can manage participant feedback more easily. Using the enhanced Add Participants action, you can search for and add direct reports of the worker being evaluated, and add participants you ve previously selected to add them again with a new request role. Search is now person-based, rather than assignment, to more accurately locate your search target. Send requests for participant feedback to individuals using the new Send Request button in the participant table. For group requests, you can continue to use the Send Requests button at the table level. To make it easier to see, the Feedback Received table and Role Description information was moved onto the Manage Participant Feedback page from the panel drawer. 77 RECRUITING The following shows new features available through HCM Cloud Mobile for Recruiting. HCM CLOUD MOBILE SIMPLIFIED HIRING MANAGER EXPERIENCE The Hiring Manager Experience feature is available as part of HCM Cloud and provides access to hiring manager functions with a simplified web experience. You can use the Hiring Activities page to view pending tasks related to requisition and offer approval, review the requisition or offer details before deciding to approve or decline the requisition. You can also pass an approval task to another user. The offer or requisition is routed to the next approver in the approval flow. Simplified Hiring Activities Page ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES IN HCM MOBILE COMPOSER You can enhance candidate cards using the HCM Mobile Composer. You can configure the content and layout of candidate cards, candidate files, candidate lists, and requisition lists displayed on Hiring Manager Experience. 78 TALENT REVIEW AND SUCCESSION MANAGEMENT Oracle Fusion Talent Review is an analytic product enabling your organization to review and evaluate data from the profile, performance, goals, and compensation management solutions. Using Oracle Fusion Succession Management, you can create succession plans to replace key personnel. Succession plans identify workers who are ready now, or can develop the necessary skills, for jobs and positions that aren't currently vacant, ensuring, a smooth transition and help you to manage candidate development. NEW SHOW DETAILS DIALOG You can now use Person Spotlight to access details of succession plan candidates and talent pool members. On the Succession Planning overview page you select a candidate name on the sunburst and use the Show Details feature to open Person Spotlight. On the Create and Edit Succession Plans: Select Candidates page, you can also open Person Spotlight. You can also now open Person Spotlight from the Talent Pools Select Members page that appears in the create and edit talent pools trains. Select the worker name to open Person Spotlight in both the succession plan and talent pool pages. On Person Spotlight, you can view additional data about the worker, such as person and employment information, goals, performance ratings, and compensation. 78

When you click Done in Person Spotlight, you return to the Succession Planning overview page, the Create or Edit Succession Plans train, or the Select Member page of the Create or Edit Talent Pools train. ABILITY FOR MANAGERS TO EDIT SUCCESSION PLAN DETAILS Managers can now edit succession plan details by accessing the plan from the organization chart or Person Spotlight. They can now edit plan details, and are no longer restricted to editing candidate information only. They can, for example, add additional owners after the plan has been created. In Person Spotlight, managers can use the Career Planning card to access and edit succession plans. From the Information section of the organization chart in the Succession Planning work area or the main Directory, managers can click the number of plans in the Succession Candidates section to open the Career Planning card. From there, they can open a succession plan to edit it. To use the Succession Candidates section on the organization charts, managers must be granted the View Succession Plan Duty (ORA_HRM_SUCCESSION_PLAN_VIEW_DUTY) and the View Manager Hierarchy security profile. In addition, the Succession Candidates section must be added to the organization charts using Page Composer. 81

For succession plans, the change appears on the Select and Add: Candidates dialog box you open from the Select Candidates page. TALENT REVIEW SUBMISSION PROCESS You can use an Oracle Enterprise Scheduler job to submit talent review meeting data to Profile Management automatically while you proceed to other tasks. By configuring the talent review template, you can specify the size of the review population that triggers the use of the automatic processing job. Using an Oracle Enterprise Scheduler job, you no longer need to wait for the talent review meeting to submit. Turning on the new process is optional. You can continue to submit your review meetings instantly as well. To turn on the process, in the template, in the Submission Process Threshold field, enter the number of workers in the review population above which a scheduled process starts to automatically update 83

84 ratings when the facilitator submits the meeting. Upon submitting the meeting, a message appears informing the facilitator of the process job number. The facilitator can use the Scheduled Processes task to track the status. If you enter no threshold number, when the facilitator submits the meeting, the ratings are updated to the worker profiles without a scheduled process. Two new meeting statuses are available to display in the legend on the Talent Review overview page to track the submission process status: Submission Process Error and Submission Process in Progress. The statuses are hidden by default. Enter a Number in the Submission Process Threshold Field to Activate the Submission Process TIPS AND CONSIDERATIONS To display the new legend items for the submission process status on the Talent Review Overview page, use Page Composer. Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence provides human resources managers and specialists, business executives, and line managers the critical workforce information to analyze workforce costs, staffing, compensation, performance management, talent management, succession planning, and employee benefits. ENHANCEMENTS FOR LEARNING NEW SUBJECT AREA FOR WORKFORCE LEARNING: WORKFORCE LEARNING REAL TIME This new subject area reports on learning events, items, item owners, and consumers. You can report on count of events, duration of learning items, count of workers who completed the learning item assigned to them, status of learning, and so on. If you use the predefined reference roles, then no steps are necessary to enable this feature. Otherwise, you must assign relevant security privileges to your roles to enable this feature. ROLE INFORMATION To enable human resource analysts to use the Real-Time Reports feature, you add the following transaction analysis duty role to the Human Resource Analyst job role: Transaction Analysis Duty Role Name 'Workforce Transaction Analysis Duty' Transaction Analysis Duty Role Code FBI_LEARNING_TRANSACTION_ANALYSIS_DUTY If you already have a custom version of the predefined Human Resource Analyst job role, then you can add this transaction analysis duty role to your existing custom role.
