1 CURRENT JOB OPENINGS To apply on-line go to: SALES Business Transient Sales Manager The Kansas City Marriott Downtown has an opening for a Business Transient Sales Manager on our Sales and Catering Team. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of hotel sales, front office operations, group housing/reservations, catering and be up to date on hotel industry news and economic developments. This position will focus on the Business Transient market and will be responsible for the soliciting, negotiating, and booking of new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, referrals, and networking). This position will also be required to participate in tradeshows and be a part of community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility. The qualified individual must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and CI/TY. Other essential functions of the job include being a self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication skills, manages time well, and must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. EVENT MANAGEMENT Event Services (Red Coat) Professional, personable, and excellent customer service and communication skills. The qualified candidate for this position must have prior hotel banquet, catering or event management experience. Must be familiar with meeting room set-ups, audio visual, Banquet Event Orders, and billing/invoice procedures. Job requires working closely with Event/Meeting Planners as a liaison between our guests and many departments of the hotel Banquets, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Front Office, Shipping and Receiving, Accounting, and Event Management. Flexible schedule required must be able to work both Day and Evening Shifts. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE REQUIRED FOOD STOREROOM Supervisor The qualified candidate should be organized, have great attention to detail, and have previous supervisory experience preferably in the food and beverage industry. Job duties include filling requisitions, receiving and checking invoices against deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work place at all times. Must be able to provide a Liquor Card prior to employment and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Working knowledge of the computer is also required. Must be able to work a flexible scheduled which includes weekends. DAY SHIFT (7:00AM 3:30PM / 10:00AM 5:00PM)

2 LOSS PREVENTION Supervisor (Overnight Shift) The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in law enforcement, criminal justice, or the military. We are looking for a dynamic individual to provide direction and leadership to our Security Staff and in all areas of the hotel as the Manager on Duty when necessary. Job requires investigating and following up on guest concerns and issues, being in charge during emergency situations, delegating daily job responsibilities to the Security staff, leading the daily stand-up meetings, and excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Experience in the hospitality field is a plus! Flexible schedule required. Security Patrol Officer (Overnight Shift) Prior experience in law enforcement, criminal justice or the military is necessary. Interested applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good report writing skills, experience with conflict/problem resolution, and a professional and friendly demeanor. Job duties include enforcing hotel rules, investigating and reporting incidents that may result in claims against the hotel, monitoring security cameras, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the hotel s fire and emergency procedures. Experience in the hospitality field is a plus! OVERNIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE (10:00PM 6:30AM) METROPOLITAN KC Restaurant Supervisor Professional, high energy, and dependable individual that has excellent customer service skills. The qualified candidate would assist in overseeing a busy full service restaurant, in-room dining, and specialty coffee counter. Must have previous supervisory experience in the restaurant industry and job responsibilities will include handling guest issues, training, ordering supplies, and promoting a friendly team environment. Flexible schedule required. Server Professional, dependable and excellent customer service skills. Must have previous serving experience in full service restaurant and be able to handle a station of 6 to 8 tables. Knowledge of MICROS is preferred as well as cash handling experience. FULL TIME DAY SHIFT (5:30AM 2PM) / PART TIME EVENING SHIFT (4:00PM 10:00PM) COFFEE CENTRAL Barista We are looking for an experienced Barista to work in Coffee Central and the hotel s Sundry Shop. The qualified candidate should be professional, dependable, detail-oriented, have excellent customer service skills and a LOVE of coffee!! Job duties include making and selling specialty coffees, iced drinks, smoothies, and assorted baked goods. Other requirements include being able to lift 20 to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time. MICROS and cash handling experience is also a plus! Flexible schedule required which includes weekends and holidays. FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE

3 KITCHEN Line Cook Professional, dependable and must be a team player! Qualified candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience working in the Kitchen of a full service restaurant or hotel. Experience should include working in all areas of the Kitchen i.e. Grill, Broiler, Saucier, and Cold Production. Other job duties include understanding and following written recipes, basic knife skills, proper and safe handling of kitchen equipment, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in specific work areas. Flexible schedule required. EVENING SHIFT AVAILABLE Banquet Cook Dependable, hard-working and must be able to multi-task. Looking for an experienced production cook for a busy Banquet Kitchen. Must have at least 3 to 4 years experience working in a large volume production kitchen. Job duties include preparing and production of hot banquet food and sauces for large groups, maintaining a safe and sanitary work station, assist in plating up of meals, and work closely with both our Banquet and Stewarding Departments. Pastry Cook We are looking for an experienced Baker or Pastry Cook with previous experience to work in the busy Pastry Kitchen. Must be familiar in the production of all pastries, cakes, desserts, breakfast items, and breads. The qualified individual must be able to bake from recipes, have a complete understanding of culinary weights and measurements, can demonstrate safe handling of kitchen equipment, and be able to maintain a safe and sanitary work station at all times. Flexible schedule required. BAR CENTRAL Assistant Food & Beverage Manager We are looking for a dynamic and polished leader that will promote customer service and a friendly team environment in our food and beverage outlets. The qualified candidate should have 2 to 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a full service restaurant, hotel or bar. Extensive bar/liquor knowledge is preferred. Must be have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to multi-task and delegate responsibilities. Other job duties will include interviewing, scheduling, payroll and performance/discipline management. Key elements of the position include interacting with our guests to be build strong relationships and problem/conflict resolution. Serv Safe Certification and TIPs Certification are required. Cocktail Server Friendly, professional, and excellent customer service skills. Must have prior experience working in a full service restaurant with knowledge of serving both food and cocktails. Requires aggressive hospitality skills, building a rapport with our guests, and upselling menu items. Prior cash handling and MICROS experience is preferred. Flexible schedule required which includes weekends.

Job duties include assisting guests with their coats during events scheduled at the hotel, providing claim tickets, and returning coats to individuals upon departure. IN-ROOM DINING Server Professional, polished and friendly individual with at least 1 to 2 years of serving experience in a full service restaurant or hotel in-room dining. Must be able to work at a fast pace, walk long distances, and be able to lift at least 25 to 30 lbs. Key elements include being able to multi-task and being detail-oriented. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential! P/T DAY SHIFT & F/T EVENING SHIFT STEWARDING Utility Steward Dependable, hard-working, and must be a team player. Job responsibilities include operating a commercial dishwashing machine to clean all china, silver, glassware, trays, and cooking utensils. Must be able to operate equipment in a safe and sanitary manner. Other duties include emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and assisting with banquet meal dish-up. 5 HOUSEKEEPING Director of Services The Kansas City Marriott Downtown is seeking a dynamic leader with at least 5+ years of management experience in Room Operations or Housekeeping and Laundry in a full service hotel. The ideal candidate will oversee the operation of both the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. We are looking for a professional and organized leader to supervise a staff of 70 to 80 diverse associates. The qualified individual should meet the following requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task and have an eye for detail, previous experience with interviewing, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance management, aggressive hospitality and customer service skills must know the meaning of being a Brilliant Host, and must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays. Job responsibilities include managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry operations, facilitating the daily stand-up meeting, work closely with other departments in the hotel i.e. Front Office, Engineering, Loss Prevention and Accounting, maintain inventory records of linens, uniforms, and guest room and cleaning supplies, maintain standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, offices, public spaces, and service areas on a daily basis, make periodic inspections of all areas to ensure that all standards are being met, be familiar with cleaning equipment, supplies and tools, work closely with Housekeeping Management staff to control payroll costs, and negotiate contracts and maintain a working relationship with temporary staffing agencies. Assistant Director of Services The Kansas City Marriott Downtown is looking for a high energy and dynamic individual to join our Housekeeping and Laundry Management team to provide direction and leadership to one of the hotel s largest and most diverse departments in an effort to ensure that the high standards of cleanliness are met at all times. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience in the hospitality industry preferably in a full service hotel. Key elements of the job include excellent communication and customer service skills and having an eye for detail. Job responsibilities include assisting the Director of Services in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments and being an integral part of the interviewing of applicants, training of new hires, scheduling, payroll, and performance management. Schedule flexibility is necessary. Room Attendant We are looking for experienced and dependable Room Attendants. The qualified candidates must have at least 1 year experience in the past three years working in Housekeeping at a hotel. Job duties include being able to clean at least 18 guest rooms per day vacuuming, dusting, making and changing the bed linens, cleaning the bathrooms, restocking all amenities and reporting maintenance problems. Responsibilities include being able to lift 50 lbs. & pushing heavy carts. DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE MUST BE ABLE WORK WEEKENDS LAUNDRY Washman Dependable and hard working. Job responsibilities include operating wash machines, pulling and sorting linens, manually loading and unloading wash machines and dryers, keeping accurate production records, and transporting/loading linen carts. Must be able to lift at least 50 to 100 lbs. and work at a fast pace. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE REQUIRED MUST BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH DAY & EVENING SHIFTS
