1 Today s health care organizations need great leaders to navigate the everevolving health care landscape and to ensure the longevity of the organization. That s why physicians, nurses, and administrators are taking advantage of the Tiger Institute Leadership Academy. Through the academy we will share how we used information technology to create a robust strategy, and to strengthen our operational and financial services. We offer courses with the assumption that the problems facing health care systems can best be solved by a holistic approach that leverages technology within and outside the four walls to improve quality, decrease costs, increase volumes, and drive outcomes.

2 About the Tiger Institute In late 2009, the University of Missouri and Cerner Corporation formed the Tiger Institute for Health Innovation to build a strong foundation of information technology, innovation, and partnership. Through our collaboration we focus on promoting efficiency and quality throughout the MU system and beyond. The Tiger Institute has enabled MU Health Care to move to the top 5% in quality measures across academic health systems and was key in the award of a $13.3 million CMS grant for Population Health programs. Together, MU Health Care and Cerner are building a network that connects providers and patients throughout the state, while developing new ways to deliver improved health outcomes using engaging and innovative IT applications. Today, information technology is a strategic enabler to support and advance other quality directives, as well as academic and health-related research missions across the university. 3 Our Team A diverse team of MU Health Care and Tiger Institute physician, nurse, administrative, and technical leaders conduct the courses at the Tiger Institute Leadership Academy. These individuals have first-hand experience and knowledge in such areas as operations, finance, information technology, medical education and research, construction, vendor relations, patient experience, and more. 4 Program Overview The Tiger Institute has six years of experience and proven success in a transformational partnership between Cerner Corporation and the University of Missouri. Together we have accelerated time-to-value and delivered real benefits in a collaborative manner. Through the Tiger Institute Leadership Academy, we offer a program customizable to your organization s strengths, focus areas, and current IT status. The first day of the two day program will be focused on general topics applicable to all strategic partnerships. The second day will be tailored to your preferences. In order to meet your expectations, we will conduct a survey to confirm your areas of interest. 5 Attendee Profile and Program Costs The Tiger Institute Leadership Academy offers the skills and training needed to become a more effective leader by learning how MU Health Care operates and discovering which strategies will work for your own health care organization. In order to conduct a successful program, we recommend the following mix of attendees from both your organization and Cerner. 20% 60% 20% We invite up to 15 participants to join us for $60,000 with an additional participant cost of $3,000 each. This fee includes tuition, course materials, ground transportation, hotel, and all meals. Air travel to Kansas City (MCI) or Columbia, Missouri (COU) is not included.
