2 Welcome from Nicola Clemo, Chief xecutive Thank you for your interest in working with Slough Children's Services Trust (SCST). 3 Job Description Job Title: Location: Responsible To: HR Business Partner St Martin s Place Head of HR & OD The Organisation: Slough Children s Services Trust is a new and innovative company delivering children's safeguarding and social care services in Slough. It is a challenging and highly rewarding field of work making a real and positive difference to the lives of children, young people and families and helping build the resilience, social and economic strength of the wider community. Main Accountabilities: Highly driven and motivated to provide a high quality and effective, customer focused, commercially aware HR service Supporting the alignment of the People Strategy with operational needs, identifying areas of concern, then assisting in the design of action plans for resolution Acting as a consultant to managers on human resources issues, providing pro-active, commercially savvy, legally compliant advice Acting as an employee champion and change agent for initiatives as set out by the People Strategy Dealing with complex employee relations cases, providing solutions focused advice Coaching and mentoring of new and existing mangers within the business Working alongside the L&D Business Partner to implement an effective training strategy for the organisation Designing and delivering HR training Leading and supporting the HR team to provide and effective, customer focused service Providing and analysing management information and the presentation of this to assist the organisation in its on-going development Working with the business to future-proof the workforce nsuing all policies are up to date and compliant with current employment legislation A willingness to undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as determined by the Head of HR & OD To stand in for the Head of HR at meetings as and when required

6 A Snapshot of the Benefits Salary Circa 45K, depending on experience Annual increments are paid on 1April each year subject to 6 months service and satisfactory performance. Annual Leave The annual leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March and increases with your length of service. FT entitlement based on continuous local government service: Years Service Up to 2 years ntitlement Total including Bank Holidays years years Pensions The Trust uphold the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Working Hours Hours of work are 37 hours per week. The Trust encourages flexible working, part time working and job shares. Mileage We reimburse all business mileage. We currently pay 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles. Childcare If you require childcare, Slough s Children s Centres provide a range of childcare services. The Trust also provide Computershare childcare vouchers and staff may use them at the centres. Subscriptions If you are employed in a Social Work role the Trust will pay for your HCPC registration. Transport Loans The Trust offer all our staff an interest-free loan to buy an annual railway, London Underground or bus season ticket to cover travelling from home to work.
