Sitting in the Agency team means that I am able to involve myself in all manners of property from agency, valuation, and development appraisals to conducting site visits and client meetings. I generally assist an enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do which combines to make for an engaging and exciting role which I hope to continue into the future. I have been given the opportunity to work across all teams in the 9 months I have worked here getting involved in Industrial Agency work to Investment appraisals. This has given me a much wider breadth of knowledge than many of my peers. Kimmy Au surveyor (University of Westminster) I am approaching my one year anniversary as a graduate surveyor at Carter Jonas. Besides, the level of support from your manager, assigned APC councillor and supervisor has surely helped graduates learn and achieve competencies. So far, I have been through two rotations in the Compulsory Purchase team and the London Development team and about to start my third one in the Public Sector team this September.

Planning law and policy is constantly changing so I m always having to keep up to date which makes it so interesting, and the team and projects I m working on are great too. Gillian Wilsher Graduate Surveyor Rural (Harper Adams) Carter Jonas offered a very diverse range of work within a very friendly team environment. I assist in the day to day management of rural estates and a range of professional work including sales, landlord & tenant, and valuations. For me, the variation of my role is what makes it: every day is different. Sebastian Denby Graduate Surveyor (Nottingham Trent University) Lewis Ali Graduate Surveyor (Nottingham Trent University) Carter Jonas is a highly reputable property company which proved to be the perfect next step for my career. I have been provided with strong support and great opportunities in the rapidly growing Building Surveying team. I have been given great projects to work on whilst continuing my APC traininag and look forward to the future with Carter Jonas. I really like the amount of responsibility that I have been given, provided that I have only just joined the company. I m in charge of marketing, arranging viewings and disposing of my own properties, and will eventually be dealing with my own clients. There is so much expertise in the Cambridge office. I never feel worried about asking any questions if I m stuck. Unlike larger corporate companies, there are fewer steps between myself and the Head of for the region which means I get more exposure to really learn.
