1 TUCOEMAS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION JOB TITLE: Teller Department Team Lead DEPARTMENT: Teller POSITION REPORTS TO: This position reports directly to the respective Branch Manager of assigned branch location or Branch Operations Manager. COMPENSATION: Minimum Starting Hourly Rate $14.33 FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt POSITION DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate for our Teller Department Team Lead position will have an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and ability to reason and solve problems. Under limited supervision, this position performs all teller and vaults duties, scheduling, and overall leadership. You will be the first point of contact for our awesome teller team and will be responsible for supervising and motivating the team. The Team Lead should be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversee day-to-day operations of all Teller Departments. Supports Branch Manager and may perform management duties when manager is absent or out of office. Processes financial transactions and deepens member relationships by cross-selling products and services. Leads teller staff, assisting in training, coaching, solving member problems, and serving as an operational reference. Creates a positive sales and service environment by training, coaching and developing teller staff. Leads by example in the achievement of their individual and team based referral goals. Monitors teller work activity observes, coaches and counsels tellers; administers on-the-spot corrective action; recommends remedial teller training as necessary. Coaches tellers in product knowledge, sales, and member service. Assists tellers when balancing problems occur - using knowledge of common errors; verifies cash when overages/shortages occur; gives transaction approvals as necessary.

2 Able to independently handle difficult operational situations and questions from other employees. Maintain sufficient knowledge of products and services, operations policies, procedures, and compliance, to make sound decisions involving daily operations. Handle member research by determining the member s needs, completing research forms and forwarding to the proper department. Maintain the required knowledge of policies and procedures, laws and regulations, as well as other compliance requirements. Perform leadership duties and responsibilities for operations, scheduling, assigning work, solving problems, helping with complex transactions and explaining policies and procedures to tellers and members. Assist with dual control processes as needed. Participates with Branch Leadership in administering regular teller performance evaluations and addressing development needs of tellers. Works in conjunction with Branch Leadership to recommend and select new hires, to identify team members eligible for promotional opportunities and/or to recommend team members for separation. Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance. Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations. Creates an inspiring team environment with an open communication. Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments. Encourage creativity and risk-taking. Suggest and organize team building activities. Conducts routine correspondence with members concerning items relating to the duties in the Teller Department. Maintains control over cash drawer and balances transaction daily. Able to complete data entry required to execute membership, teller and loan transactions.

3 Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services that is handled by the Teller Department. Retain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies, procedures, and rules and regulations. Assists as a back-up to the Vault and ATM areas. Demonstrates advanced understanding of all financial products and services. Ensures that proper controls are exercised over the vault, ordering and counting cash for the branch. Ensures that Teller have sufficient product knowledge to provide exceptional member service. Have a keen understanding of NCUA Deposit Insurance rules. Read, understand, and adhere to and uphold all written policies and procedures for BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting. Be Awesome! POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITY: Required: High school graduate or recognized equivalent (GED). Two or more years in a leadership role at financial institution/credit union. Four years credit union experience in 2 out of 3 of these areas teller, membership/new accounts and consumer loans and the ability to train and retain working knowledge of all three areas within six months of start date at the minimum level of Senior Teller, Membership Representative, and Senior Loan Clerk. Ability to be bonded. Maintain confidentiality. Ability to perform tasks efficiently under time constraints in a fast-paced working environment.

4 Experience providing outstanding customer service and interacting with people/customers in a service and sales and service environment. Ability to communicate to interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, managers, and the general public to convey information and receive work direction. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Indoor work environment. Working conditions include attendance at meetings held before and after regular business hours. See (near and far) for reading data on a computer screen, hear and talk ordinary conversation and telephone calls. Travel to cover other branches for training or staffing assistance may be required. Approximately 90% of this position's duties require the use of a computer.
