2 Prepare for Your New Role PAGE 2 OF 12 Before you ever set foot in a salon, it is important that you know something about the job that you are applying for. Most positions can be broken down into the following job requirements: Knowledge the knowledge needed to perform successfully. Attitude and Attributes the personal characteristics and attitudes needed for success. Behavior the skills and behavior needed to build your business. What does your new role require? Consider someone who is successful in business. What makes him or her successful? What characteristics, attitudes, and beliefs does he or she have? How does he or she look and act? What skills and knowledge does he or she have? Your new position will require you to be knowledgeable, positive, and focused on success. Refer to your success profile and identify areas you still need to work on prior to your interviews.
3 Prepare for Your New Role PAGE 3 OF 12 Answer the following questions. What knowledge do I need to have to be successful?
