SUMMARY OF POSITION WITH GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES A new and exciting opportunity for the position of Business Development Director, EMEA. The person will be responsible for leading and supporting projects and initiatives to solve complex business problems and drive sustainable growth consistent with Bard s objectives and strategy. Works closely with the EMEA Management Board, EMEA Finance, Area General Managers and Marketing teams. ROLE Accelerating business development opportunities in EMEA from concept to identification, screening, assessment, RTN, negotiation, due-diligence, closing and integration. Work closely with divisional counterparts, Marketing and country leaders to assess the opportunity and quantify the value of divisional led deals Build up EMEA target funnel taking into consideration the strategic fit, ease of implementation, potential business impact (top line and bottom line contribution) ensuring we close minimum of one EMEA drive deal per fiscal year. From a Strategy perspective lead the Strategic Plan, Budget plan, and Divisional vertical reviews process Perform all activities in accordance with all relevant Bard policies and procedures

3 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will likely have 7+ years of business development, with a reasonable blend of Healthcare Professional products, sales and financial management. Knowledge of European healthcare market, including expertise in diseases, treatments, medical procedures, competitor activity and broad market trends Business development experience Experience leading a projects starting from scoping through requirements all the way until close Ability to survive in a matrix environment High level of problem solving skills Possess high level of intelligence, integrity, energy, and commercial business judgement Exceptional analytical, communication and organizational skills Clearly communicate strategies and value propositions Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with others Well developed project management capabilities Strong commercial acumen combined with the commitment and focus to deliver deals. First-class presentation, communication and influencing skills. Energetic, enthusiastic and flexible personality Credibility in dealing with senior executives externally and in interacting with countries and divisions internally. Experienced in financial analysis, revenue modelling, and ROI analysis Ability to influence others To lead, direct and motivate the project team, foster collaborative team working, and provide the central focal point for the project team. Masters in Business Administration, Economics or Finance is preferable Project management experience is desirable Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional European language skills would be highly advantageous. PROFILE
