1 TITLE: Day Resource Center Program Manager LOCATION: Aurora, CO The Day Resource Center (DRC) Program Manager is responsible for providing management and oversight of the DRC, including supervision of all DRC staff. The DRC Program Manager will oversee the development and implementation of high quality direct services to clients of the DRC and will coordinate all activities and services provided by external partners and will work closely with the City of Aurora Homeless Services division. The DRC Program Manager will ensure that all services are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and provided with compassion. PRIMARY DUTIES: Client Services: Oversee all client services Create and implement DRC schedule of pro-social activities and workshop opportunities Offer guidance and direction for clients towards needed services Create a welcoming atmosphere and a safe space for clients to come and ask questions Coordinate assistance for those with special needs and/or disabilities Coordinate all client reporting and tracking in HMIS Staff Management: Manage a staff of care navigators who interact directly with clients in each of the main service areas of the DRC: computer lab, food services, storage and hygiene, and partner services/case management Manage the DRC Volunteer coordinator who will connect the DRC with volunteers and donations to support programming Develop and maintain weekly staff schedule Support staff in managing client needs including crisis situations Community Partnerships: Partner with all MHBHC entities: Comitis Crisis Center, Colfax Community Network, and Street Outreach Coordinate and support, in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator, community partners to provide additional services at the DRC Represent the DRC to city officials and funders Work with Aurora-based providers to activate DRC during Cold Weather Alert Development and Operations: Provide MHBHC development staff with client-outcome data and other information needed for funding applications

2 Participate in MHBHC development committee to ensure ongoing resources for the DRC Work with MHBHC facilities manager to ensure that the facility is safe, clean, and meets the needs of clients Order DRC supplies and oversees an inventory control system in collaboration with the DRC Volunteer Coordinator QUALIFICATIONS: At least five years of successful staff and program management experience Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with multiple stakeholders and organizations/agencies At least five years of experience working with people experiencing homelessness Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and vicarious trauma Excellent communication and computer skills Bachelor s degree and at least five years progressive professional experience; Master s degree in relevant field (Public administration, Nonprofit management, Social Work, etc.) preferred OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Understanding of behavioral health and homelessness services Compassion for the clients that the DRC serves and a connection to the mission Proof of automobile insurance and clean background check required Some travel (within Denver Metro) and occasional weekend work The DRC Program Manager is required to complete a 90-day probationary period Knowledge of DRC rules and regulations and ability to enforce them Good rapport with the client population Demonstrated ability to constructively work with persons in crisis situations Demonstrated leadership skills COMPENSATION: This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
