Membership of a recognised professional engineering institution preferred. Five years post qualification experience in communication systems of which at least two years should have been in a power systems environment. Analytical Thinking; Technical Expertise; Diagnostic Ability; Decisiveness; Team Leadership; Proactive & Innovative To plan, organize and control the provision of telecommunications facilities and services for the efficient and effective operations of the power system network. Prepares and Manages Budgets (OPEX/CAPEX). Approval of sectional expenditure within approved limits. Acquisition of assets within approved limits. Recommends disposal of assets. Evaluates employee performance, recommends performance based rewards and promotions, Trains and Disciplines Staff in accordance with laid down procedures. Recommends recruitment and termination of employment. Maintaining a stable power telecommunication system. Availability of reliable telecommunications network.
