6 Mai-Anh Kapanke Associate director Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota In her role with MPM, Mai-Anh Kapanke manages marketing and communications strategies, serves as the development director, and leads public policy and advocacy efforts. Before joining MPM, Kapanke worked for the YMCA Mentor Duluth program, where she managed all public relations and marketing efforts and co-directed the Mentor Duluth program, the largest mentoring program in Northeastern Minnesota. Prior to her work in the mentoring arena, Mai-Anh served as a television news reporter and weather anchor for six years.

7 Diane Quest Director of marketing & communications MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership Diane has an extensive background in strategic communications, crisis communications and journalism. She has managed communications for national advocacy campaigns at The Pew Charitable Trusts and at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Diane also has experience working within the federal government and as a television journalist in Texas.

8 Abbie Evans Director of government relations MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership Abbie joined MENTOR in July after more than eleven years working on policy issues supporting kids and education professionals. She grew up in Pennsylvania and now lives in Washington, DC despite Congress. Feel free to contact her any time:

9 Kristan Allen Director of marketing and communications The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania (TMP) Kristan oversees all marketing strategy and publicity for TMP, as well as communications outreach initiatives. She also develops information and services, including branding/messaging strategies and volunteer recruitment support, for more than 140 mentoring programs in the Southwestern PA region. Prior to joining TMP, Kristan worked at Ketchum, one of the world's leading public relations agencies, as a media strategist in the global brand marketing practice.

24 NMM Advocacy Engaging elected officials is easy but it takes some time and effort. Campaigns like NMM are a great time to reach out to elected officials: NMM is a PR campaign with a feel good component Mentoring Partnerships can make it easy for elected officials to participate
