3 Important types of intelligence General Intelligence (IQ) ability to learn quickly and use information to solve problems Emotional Intelligence (EQ) ability to express emotions and read others emotions Social Intelligence (SQ) ability to adapt ones behavior to work with different types of people 8 Charismatic Leadership Theory Some leaders possess charisma that inspires their followers These leaders tend to be highly confident, socially skilled, and make others feel special and important Encourages life-long, passionate followers who will give their all! 9 Major criticism of trait theories: Most of these traits are highly heritable and extremely difficult to train This theory is good at spotting great leaders, but not at making them 11 3
