2 GRS Mission Statement VISION We want to be the first choice of customers from the public sector in Germany and abroad who are in need of research, methods, analyses or assessments to enhance the safety of nuclear and non-nuclear installations. MISSION We protect man and environment by advancing the safety of technical installations We want to consolidate and enhance the role of GRS as the German Federal Government s central expert organisation. We want to strengthen the position of GRS as an important research organisation both in Germany and abroad. We want to further expand the role of GRS as an internationally operating Technical Safety Organisation. We want to expand the involvement of GRS in the non-nuclear field. Our work is to comply with the highest scientific standards. To achieve this, we are guided by the following values: independence and objectivity, common public interest, reliability and responsibility, alertness, openness and appreciation.
