2 INTRODUCTION Since the introduction of the Driver CPC in 2009, Jobsworth have been a JAUPT Approved centre for delivering training. During this time we have delivered 1000 s of hours of training to companies and individual drivers. This experience has allowed us to develop our own individual courses which are constantly updated in line with current legislation and methodology. We are proud of our high standard of training, using only time served trainers who are handpicked and have years of experience within the Road Transport Industry as well as being RTITB accredited instructors.

3 BENEFITS Training can be very difficult to quantify in terms of money, but good training will improve morale, output and heighten awareness of Health & Safety. Training is a way of monitoring the effectiveness of your current workforce and a tool to help you decide what needs to change to maintain and improve future performance. A company with a progressive and thorough training program attracts a higher calibre of candidate and retains staff in a more efficient manner. Training is vital to your company. 4 JOBSWORTH BENEFITS Jobsworth s aim is to produce a one stop shop for work based training. Unlike other training providers we do not chase funding and deliver training to tick boxes. Whilst training is serious, we use a fun and interactive approach to engage trainees - a motivated trainee retains far more than someone just going through the motions. We will work with you to deliver training suitable to your business and ensure your money is spent wisely. It would be nice if we could all have specific on the job training, however in reality this is not always possible, Jobsworth is the best alternative to this. Our skilled trainers will work with you to identify tasks and associated equipment that need specific training and encompass, as much as reasonably practical, in any training we deliver. All our training will help you achieve the standard required under the Health and Safety at work Act 1974 and relevant code of practices. When LGV training we adopt the same approach, but include a full written report, with any recommendations that we think need attention. We believe our style of training will give you a peace of mind, that your workforce will receive the best training available for your business. After completion of any training we offer an on-going one to one mentoring service to both the trainee and the company.

5 DRIVER CPC Whilst we have generic courses, we believe it is not a case of 1 course fits all. To comply with legislation, CPC training is a necessity, however, by selecting a course that is useful to your company it can also represent value for money. Training should always be relevant, engaging and meaningful to your business. We offer a bespoke service, where we use and adapt the contents of our current courses to suit your needs, or create a whole new course relevant to your requirements. You may have problems with operating procedures and are required to brief out a number of SSOW/ SOP s to drivers or there may be issues with their driving standard or legal compliance. 6 LORRY DRIVER DEVELOPMENT As well as Driver CPC and Driver Assessments we offer a full driver training program which includes: Fuel Efficient Driving Defensive Driving Slow Speed Manoeuvring Container/Skeletal Trailers Temperature Controlled Trailers Load Security inc. Steel Digital Tachos Vehicle Checks Driving Hours Working Time Directive Tail Lift Operations These are just some of the courses we have available which we can deliver on a one to one basis or in small groups. 7 DRIVING ASSESSMENTS Driving assessments are another way in which Jobsworth can help your business. Many companies have already proven that regular assessments or post-accident assessments have been beneficial to their business. All assessments start with a licence screening, Highway Code assessment and a basic eye test to ensure compliance with the latest legislation. The driver is expected then to carry out a vehicle check, including load security. During this the driver will be asked questions to confirm their understanding of what they are checking for. Once this has been completed a road drive will then be conducted covering around 40km on various styles of roads. During this the driver will receive coaching based on observations. At the end of the assessment we will produce a full written report for your records.

8 LORRY MOUNTED LIFT TRUCK Our training is certified and accredited by the Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB) and therefore we can deliver training to a national recognised qualification like our Lorry Mounted Lift Truck. We can carry out training on-site or at our own training centre where we have various type of loads to simulate the typical conditions a driver has to operate within. Training can cover all makes of Lorry Mounted Lift truck including moving mast, extending forks, extending mast or 4 way. Our courses are designed around practical use, which ensures the candidate gains hands on experience. As well as offering training on site we do have our own fleet of specialist modern vehicles fully equipped for the training of Hydraulic Lorry Loader and Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck.

9 HYDRAULIC LORRY LOADER (Hiab) With various manufacturers of lorry mounted cranes such as Hiab, Atlas-Terex, HMF and Fassi, although the same, can be very different to operate. Our experienced trainers can deliver training on all models on site or at our base using Jobsworth s fully equipped training vehicles. We can offer training in both levers and remote controls. Whether experienced or novice, we have courses that suit all levels of ability. The training covers Hooks, Slings and Brick clamp and lifting various weight and sized objects. All our Hydraulic Lorry Loader courses have the facility to be recorded for Driver CPC training therefore satisfying the Health & Safety requirements and drivers requirements to complete 7 hours of training every year.

10 FORK LIFT TRAINING Driving forklift trucks requires specialised training and instruction from qualified trainers. This can help reduce the likelihood of accidents and improve the safety of both drivers and pedestrians. Professional forklift driver training can also reduce truck downtime, racking and product damage. As an employer you are required to provide basic training and testing for all lift-truck operators you employ (both new and existing). It s a common story that employers believe their operators to be qualified once they have attended and passed basic operator training, but the fact is that, no matter how good Basic Training is, it must be backed up by Specific Job and Familiarisation Training before the individual is authorised by the employer to operate in their workplace.
