1 Job Description Job title: Reports to: Jobs Growth Wales (JGW) Officer Youth Engagement Manager Summary of Role The purpose of the Jobs Growth Wales Officer is to fulfil Educ8 s Jobs Growth Wales contract by supporting local employers (in a given geographical area/s) with their staff recruitment needs. Wherever possible, vacancies will be created within Educ8 s priority sectors in order to facilitate participants progression onto an Apprenticeship programme at the end of their JGW placement. The Jobs Growth Wales Officer will provide regular coaching and mentoring support to JGW participants to ensure they develop appropriate employability skills such as confidence and motivation and perform well within their roles. The JGW Officer will support participants to ensure that at least 85% progress into sustainable employment at the end of their JGW placement and at least 70% progress into an Apprenticeship with Educ8. The Jobs Growth Wales Officer will work closely with Educ8 s Key Account Managers to ensure that our strategic QCF customers are offered first refusal of Jobs Growth Wales opportunities, thus adding value to our customer offering, creating differentiation in the marketplace and improving customer relations. 2 Core Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement 1. To provide an excellent level of customer service to all employers, learners and other key stakeholders in line with our core values 2. To promote and market Educ8 s products and services throughout the network with companies of similar core values 3. To build and maintain effective working relationships with current and potential referral agencies such as Welsh Government, Job Centre Plus and Careers Wales 4. To support quality monitoring systems and processes 5. To provide appropriate levels of reporting, guidance and support to employers and stakeholders as appropriate and required 6. To build and maintain knowledge of local and national labour market issues and trends 7. To maintain knowledge of local initiatives and learning or progression opportunities within other organisations 8. To support employers with workforce planning issues as appropriate Employer Engagement 9. To develop effective, meaningful relationships with employers built on trust and reputation 10. To respond to all employer leads/referrals/queries in a timely manner (within 48 hours) 11. To ensure that all employers receive monthly monitors (3 x face to face and 3 x telephone/ ) to provide them with opportunities to feedback 12. To work with Key Account Managers to ensure that our strategic customer base is provided with first refusal with regards to JGW opportunities 13. To actively promote JGW opportunities amongst employers that we know and trust and where we are able to progress candidates into sustainable employment and apprenticeships (via YRP) 14. To ensure that any employer issues/complaints are fed back to the relevant Key Account Manager within a timely manner (48 hours) 15. To conduct Health & Safety vettings at employers premises prior to any learner starting placement with them

3 Learner Support 16. To support learners and employers via monthly monitors (3 x face to face and 3 x telephone) with the development of their career pathway, ensuring all learners have access to Educ8 s wider portfolio of programmes 17. To highlight and discuss learner issues providing focussed learner support where required 18. To support all learners (at least 85%) to achieve progression into sustainable employment and apprenticeship opportunities (at least 70%) 19. To support learners to develop their confidence and self esteem 20. To work alongside and in liaison with the wider programme team to deliver best practise and equality of opportunity for all learners 21. To report all learner safeguarding issues to the authorised Safeguarding Officer Business Development 22. To identify business opportunities for all aspects of Educ8 s products and services 23. To work closely with the Customer Account Managers in order to identify potential business development opportunities 24. To act as an ambassador for Educ8 throughout the network Individual Responsibilities 25. To maintain comprehensive and accurate records regarding all aspects of job roles as required 26. To actively engage in Continuous Professional Development 27. To take responsibility for your own appraisal, support and supervision 28. To work within the guidelines, policies and procedures of Educ8 at all times 29. Maintain and develop positive working relationships internally and externally 30. To maintain up to date knowledge of all programmes facilitated by Educ8 31. To ensure the safety of candidates whilst on site and to be responsible for them in the event of an evacuation 32.
