5 DISCOUNT SCHEDULES EXPLAINED ADVENTURE ROPES AND ZIP LINE- GUEST SERVICES All employees receive a discount on our Wood Lot & Timber Challenge Ropes Courses and Zip Lines. See the discounts schedule for pricing. Employees are asked to enjoy their discount during a time when the attractions are not busy. BEACH Full access to the Blue Mountain beach is available for all active employees and their immediate family. Staff can drive to the beach with their family; maximum of 8 people in the vehicle for free 7 days a week. They are not required to take the shuttle this year but encouraged in peak times as they may be turned away if parking is limited. Employee must be present with staff ID. Employees can receive discounts on the following when they present their valid Staff Pass/ID card at the beach: 40% off selected food and beverage items. 50% off equipment rentals during non-peak times (as determined by Beach Staff) BLUE MOUNTAIN SEASONS PASS & STAFF PASS/ID CARD All employees receive a Seasons Pass to ski or ride for free at Blue Mountain. The Seasons Pass doubles as Blue Mountain's employee identification, called the Staff Pass/ID card-during the Winter season. Summer employees will receive a Staff Pass/ID card separate from any form of season s pass. All employees are required to have this Staff Pass/ID card regardless if they ski or ride. Staff Pass/ID cards are given to returning employees as soon as they are rehired for the winter/summer season. New employees may pick up their Staff Pass/ID card at Guest Services after their first regular shift or orientation Seasonal employees' Staff Pass/ID allows them to enjoy the perks only during the season in which they work (i.e., winter seasonal employees enjoy the winter perks, not the summer perks, and vice versa). The Staff Pass/ID card is required for Base Lodges, Gondola, BMR Retail Stores, Beach, Monterra Golf, Plunge! and at Staff Events. CORE/ FTF Passes are valid until approximately October 31 st each year. Employees, who leave mid-season for any reason other than dismissal for just cause, may purchase a Seasons Pass at the early bird discount rate. *About 1/3 of the early bird value of the Spouse Pass is treated as a taxable benefit (except if purchased at the regular retail rate) and will be added to your total income. Therefore, you will pay additional tax. You can expect to see this adjustment to your pay early in the New Year or during the season, depending on your start date. If you require further information on this benefit, please contact Human Resources. **A dependent child season s pass may ONLY be obtained for a child for which you are the legal guardian ****Family and Friends lift tickets (12 x $25 tickets loaded onto an employee s pass) are to be obtained through Guest Services. The employee must be present in order to utilize this perk. These discounted lift tickets are to be provided to friends and family only and are not for resale. BLUE MOUNTAIN LODGING Employees can reserve a room at Blue Mountain at a special employee rate. This discount applies to all unit types based on availability. If Blue Mountain s occupancy is forecasted to be more than 80%, this discount is not available. Employee conduct is expected to be professional at all times. There will be zero tolerance for noise and damage. Instructions on how to make a hotel reservation can be found on Info Blue, under Perks & Privileges, Hotel Discounts, Blue Mountain Hotels This privilege is not available to employees under 19 years of age.

6 BLUE MOUNTAIN RETAIL SHOPS Employees enjoy a discount at retail shops owned by Blue Mountain. There is no employee discount on already discounted items; prices are final and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotion. Employees must show their Staff Pass at time of purchase. MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL PASS All summer employees have the privilege of a Mountain Bike Park Pass. Spouses of CORE and FTF employees also receive this privilege. In order to enter the Mountain Bike Park, a Release of Liability Waiver must be completed. Children under 18 years of age must have a parent present to sign the Release of Liability Waiver. Upon completing these steps, the child must be assessed by a Mountain Bike Instructor before a pass or complimentary day ticket is issued. Tickets and passes can be picked up at the Mountain Bike Centre at Rentals. COMPLIMENTARY LIFT PASSES FROM OTHER ALTERRA MOUNTAIN COMPANY RESORTS See the Employee and Dependent Pass Perk Info Sheet found on the Perks & Privileges page on Info Blue for eligibility To obtain lift tickets: 1. New and Rehired employees must be actively working for at least 30 days prior to being eligible to participate in this perk. 2. Employees must ask their Manager for the time off at least 2 weeks ahead of time. (Note: It is highly unlikely time off will be granted to a seasonal employee during the winter season). 3. Once time off is confirmed, employees are to inform their Manager which resort the passes are being requested for and the exact dates for which the passes are needed. 4. The Manager will inform Human Resources, who will then contact the resort. 5. Employees will be provided a Letter of Introduction, which is to be provided to the Host Resort. This number and the employee s Staff Pass/ID card must be presented to Guest Services at the resort being visited. 6. Failure to organize lift passes in advance will result in the complimentary lift passes not being provided. FITNESS ROOM (Blue Mountain Inn) CORE and FTF employees receive free access to the fitness facility at the Blue Mountain Inn. Seasonal employees can purchase a membership at a discounted rate from the Front Desk. Guests come first so employees are not permitted to use this facility during busy periods. GOLF All employees receive discounts at Monterra Golf. A valid Staff Pass/ID card must be presented at the time of check in for discounts to be honoured. 7 Guest rate is only available at the start of the day up to but not including Twilight Club Rentals for $10 (if available) 24 Hour Advanced Booking Important Information: Blue Mountain retains the right to cancel or modify reservations if the course is busy with paying guests or events. Any abuse (last minute cancellations, last minute request to modify tee times, or misconduct) risk the employee losing his/her golf privileges. Employees will be asked, and are expected to, come in off the course after the last paying guest(s) has finished their round. Employees are expected to follow all guidelines and show respect for everyone on the course including course employees and guests. ALTERRA MOUNTAIN COMPANY DISCOUNTS Employees in good standing are eligible to receive variety of perks and deals through Alterra Mountain Company. For more details on the above discounts, visit Intrawest s Perkspot website ( and create an account. LESSONS GROUP SKI & SNOWBOARD Employees can take advantage of our ski and snowboard lessons. Complimentary Group Lessons are available to employees, Mondays to Thursdays, excluding holidays and holidays that fall on Mondays. Group lessons can only be used if availability permits and are on a first come first served basis at the Snow School Learning Centre at Grand Central Lodge and South Base Lodge. MEALS Food Courts, Restaurants, and Bars Meal discounts are for food, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and fountain pop at Blue Mountain restaurants, food courts, and bars. A valid Staff Pass/ID card must be presented to receive discounts on food. Discount in BMR owned food establishments (base lodges, Starbucks, etc) is 40%. Discount in restaurants and bars is 40%. Employees should tip on the retail amount not the discounted amount. There are no discounts on already discounted items, alcoholic beverages, confectionery items, cigarettes, chocolate bars, or packaged foods including, but not limited to, yogurt, cookies, chips, or bottled beverages. POOLS AT THE HOTELS CORE and FTF employees are permitted full access to the Blue Mountain Inn pool. Guests come first so the pool should not be used during busy periods. Employees are not permitted access to the Village, Rivergrass, Mosaic or Historic Snowbridge pools. PURCHASING ITEMS (not included at Blue Mountain s retail shops) CORE and FTF employees may purchase items or services through one of Blue Mountain s suppliers under the following conditions:

8 The transaction must be made through Blue Mountain s Purchasing Department using a requisition form for an administration fee of $10; Employees understand they are not authorized to order directly from, receive price quotes, or pay directly to, any Blue Mountain supplier; Items are to be paid for by the employee upon receiving the bill; and Employees understand that credit is not extended. RENTALS SKI & SNOWBOARD Employees are able to rent ski and snowboard equipment at no charge, from Monday to Thursdays, excluding holidays and holidays that fall on Mondays. Employees must have a valid Staff Pass/ID card to rent equipment; they must fill out a waiver and enter their rental information through the kiosks each time a rental is used. Any employee under the age of 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian fill in the waiver, which will be kept on file at the rental department for the season. In addition, CORE and FTF employees can receive discounts to attractions, concerts, popular shows, and more through Perkopolis website at See InfoBlue or more information. This program is available for employees only. SALES INCENTIVE Blue Mountain is recognized as Ontario s Premiere Resort Destination. Accordingly, we would like to incent our employees to promote opportunities of a group overnight visit to their personal network. Blue Mountain employees are entitled to receive a 5% commission payout of the lodging revenues (to a maximum of $1,000) for their personal involvement for the initiation of new group business consisting of 20+ room nights. To date, $12, 500 has been paid to employees. For more information, contact Conference Sales at extension TENNIS Employees may reserve tennis privileges 72 hours in advance by calling extension Blue Mountain reserves the right to cancel reservations to accommodate guests. Employees must abide by the tennis Rules and Regulations (For example: dress code, conduct, etc.). Where indicated, spouses and children may receive discounts off their share of the member rate winter court fees, anytime a court is free. VILLAGE DISCOUNTS Employees enjoy a variety of discounts at stores and restaurants in the Village at Blue Mountain. Employees should ask about the discount at each establishment. Employees will be required to show their valid Staff Pass/ID card. WEDDINGS AT BLUE MOUNTAIN Employees are welcome to enjoy the resort as a guest on their wedding day. Food and lodging discounts are available for current employees in good standing, however, conditions will apply.
