3 About the course In today s changing business world and fluctuating economy, leaders constantly need to develop new competencies on how to lead, inspire and develop their teams, to achieve their company s strategic goals and vision. Thus today s leaders have to think deeper and answer questions like the following ones: Are leaders born or bred? How does Leadership differ from management and command? Who are the successful managers with leadership skills? How can we be the visionary and creative leaders in our profession? How do we inspire and motivate our team to perform at the required level and achieve our company s goals and vision? How can we lead by example, communicating a compelling vision and target for the team? How do we develop our people and talent pools within our department? To address these challenges, managers should not only plan and manage performance of their team, but they also have to think, act and perform as leaders, blending appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors with relevant experience. Methodology This hands-on influential workshop will help managers become more effective leaders and develop the necessary competencies like communication to inspire, emotional intelligence, results orientation, on-the-job training and coaching, delegation and managing change and conflicts. The learning methodology is highly interactive, consisting of a balanced mix of short presentations and Q&A, sharing of knowledge and experience, discussions, feedback, scenarios, real world case studies, practical examples, self-tests, role plays, individual and group exercises designed to assist the participants to gain a working knowledge of the topics taught and to embed the skills.
