1 Job details Job title: Senior Older Persons Services Manager Responsible to: Head of Supported Housing Responsible for: Older Persons Services Teams including Telecare Officer. Location: Merseyside and Cheshire Overview of the role To provide comprehensive Older Persons Housing Management services to customers living in some of our most diverse and challenging neighbourhoods across Merseyside and Cheshire. To develop and deliver a customer focused service, with customers an integral part of setting and monitoring services, and delivering excellent performance across the range of Older Persons Services. To support a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence across all Older Persons Services. To work with colleagues and external partners to deliver joined up services to customers, ensuring that services delivered are value for money for our customers. Working with Partners and Colleagues to ensure that Older Person Housing Service meets local strategic needs and services are developed in line with best practice, value for money and meet TSA Industry Standards. Main responsibilities and accountabilities Details on the main responsibilities and accountabilities of the Older Person Housing Manager role are provided below. Leadership and management Provide specific leadership and management to staff within Older Persons Team. As part of the Neighbourhoods Management Team work to embed Plus Dane s vision, values and mission. Work with other Plus Dane teams to deliver excellent services to our customers. Consult with and build relationships with key external stakeholders. Develop and support effective team relationships Support the continuous learning of team members. Ensure effective safeguarding in Older Person Services and across the organisation as a Designated Safeguarding Officer. Service development Contribute to the development and successful implementation of strategies, policies, procedures and practices. Work with the Senior Managers and staff to develop a competitive older persons offer, which will support Plus Danes Core Values. Work with colleagues and Stakeholders to ensure that Older Persons Services meets strategic needs and contributes to sustaining local communities. Developing Services that meet with TSA accredited Standards. Deliver services to meet the needs of customers, stakeholders (internal and external) and other opportunities. Performance management Accountable for performance and achievement of targets, goals, objectives etc. within the

2 designated Older Persons Service team. Ensuring that Service Delivered and Developed meet with TSA Accreditation Standards Drive sustained team performance. Support initiatives to deliver business improvements within the Housing function. Promote a customer and performance focused culture within the Housing function. Finances, budgets and resources Accountable for the management of the team budget Ensure all of Plus Dane s assets and resources are used efficiently and effectively and delivered in line with the Value for Money Strategy. Work with our finance teams to ensure that scheme budgets are correct and offer Value for Money to our customers. Governance Ensure that Plus Dane operates within all regulatory guidance, statutory and legislative requirements, including TSA standards and CQC regulation. Ensure identification and management of risks within the team. Management Provide clear leadership and management to a supported housing team. Encourage and promote cross functional working between teams across Plus Dane. Other Ensure all work is aligned to the vision, mission and values of Plus Dane. Ensure that all functional strategies, policies, processes and guidance notes and practices are up to date and in line with best practice / current legislation. Carry out all other duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time, with the level of this job description. Functional responsibilities The post is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the following functions within Plus Dane: Older person services teams (includes scheme managers, community visiting staff, and alarm call monitoring. Key contacts The post is responsible for actively promoting and representing Plus Dane to a broad range of stakeholders. Key contacts in the post are detailed below. 4 Job details Job title: Senior Older Persons Services Manager Area Education Experience and knowledge Requirements Educated to Degree level or equivalent post graduate qualifications or equivalent management level experience ILM in coaching or willingness to work towards formal qualification Has experience of: Managing an effective efficient service for older persons, including telecare Managing contracts Managing key customer facing operational duties Track record of delivering excellent customer focused services Safeguarding of adults and children Developing and implementing policies and procedures Operating as part of a management team Managing a staff team Delivering a high performing service Managing budgets Building strong working relationships with external stakeholders and partners Has knowledge of: Current operating environment for social housing providers, including health and social care. Housing law TSA Accreditation. Project Management.
