Note: Responsibilities and accountabilities will change as the role evolves. Duties and tasks will vary to meet the overall purpose of the role. KEY TASKS Financial processes and information. EXPECTED OUTCOMES Maintain Revenue Register of CFA Variations, Ministry Cash Updates, Direct Ministry Revenue contracts Manage Funder Arm revenue invoicing and maintain records of all the invoices raised, reconcile to the Revenue Register Review Funder Initiatives and account for revenue appropriately Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 1

2 KEY TASKS Preparation of budgets and management reports Financial analysis and business analysis Communication and Coordination Individual Responsibility for Workplace Health and Safety under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 EXPECTED OUTCOMES Create Revenue allocation and Revenue Accrual journals at month end and upload into Oracle Reconcile Revenue position in Oracle to Schedules & Revenue register Maintain a schedule of all SLAs with the Provider Arm, and a schedule of monthly transfers to be made as per the agreements. Provide assistance in producing monthly financial workbook for Funder Arm Monitor expenditure register for Planning and Funding Group, code and process invoices Maintain and reconcile monthly worksheets of financial performance for Planning and Funding Group Produce monthly detailed Responsibility Center reports for Planning & Funding Group Support the preparation of operating budgets for Planning & Funding team Support the preparation of WDHB annual budget Provide financial information and assistance as required to support Contract and Business Managers in such areas as financial modeling, Revenue analysis etc Provide Management team with various business and financial analysis as required to support the process of business performance review, and funding decision making Communicate and coordinate with Sector Services, Ministry of Health and NRA to resolve any contract and revenue issues Liaise with Health alliance :Accounts Receivable team to resolve issues for any outstanding invoices Company health and safety policies are read and understood and relevant procedures applied to their own work activities Workplace hazards are identified and reported, including self management of hazards where appropriate Can identify health and safety representative for area Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 2

5 PERSON SPECIFICATION Minimum Preferred Qualification Accounting Graduate Member of New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountant Experience General accounting, Reconciliations Account Payable Account Receivable Financial and data analysis Working knowledge with 4-5 years experience in these fields Working knowledge of forecasting & modeling techniques, proficiency in MS Excel Use of Microsoft Word Exposure to Oracle, FFARS High proficiency in MS Excel, Basic MS Access Skills/Knowledge/Behaviour Proficient analytical skills Good - communication skills, both oral and written.
