1 Consciousness Raising Equity Facilitator Type: Full-time (1.0 FTE) Salary: $ 60,000 - $75,000 Benefits: Medical/dental healthcare, single rate healthcare buy-ins regardless of family status, flexible work schedule, generous vacation policy including holiday and sick leave, internal professional development opportunities. CEI acts as resource and facilitator locally, regionally and nationally for community based organizations, school systems, companies, local government entities and foundations interested in working together to advance equity and inclusion within their institutions and communities. 3 Description: Consciousness Raising Facilitator/Consultants are responsible for raising consciousness, skills and internal capacity to advance equity, diversity and inclusion within organizations. Facilitators frequently work in interracial teams but may occasionally individually lead workshops/trainings for clients. These facilitators require an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and engaging atmosphere where learning is paramount, self-reflection is critical and where no one day is ever the same! Consciousness Raising Facilitation: Raise racial consciousness of clients by facilitating intensive multi-day trainings and follow-up sessions Deliver a framework for understanding racism and teach key diversity, equity and inclusion concepts and skills through culturally responsive and experiential learning facilitation techniques Develop new curriculum and expand upon existing curriculum in order to support each organization s equity, diversity and inclusion advancement efforts Mentor and coach employees from partner organizations Project Management Manage/Co-Manage an assigned portfolio of organizations Create and follow a timeline to ensure material is planned in advance of facilitated sessions that are to occur Organize supplies, materials, and room set-up (on- and off- site) Communicate proactively with partner organizations to send homework, reminders, support, and generally ensure good partnership and responsiveness Respond to partner/cei requests, s, phone calls in a timely manner Use CEI internal tracking tools to share client progress information Fulfill contract deliverables for partner organizations in a timely manner consistent with contract dates/schedule CEI Team Participation Coordinate with others on the CEI Consciousness Raising Team to find opportunities to strengthen focus and efficiency Collaborate with other internal CEI teams Attend and/or represent CEI at community events (e.g., panel discussions, conferences, civic engagements, etc.) Serve as a mentor to emerging facilitators if applicable Participate in weekly staff and facilitator meetings, and regular supervisions Participate in CEI s Facilitator training and other professional development opportunities Schedule CEI is a fast-paced, high intensity company. While business needs may impact schedules, facilitators can generally expect the following: Five days/week work schedule, including some evenings and weekends Facilitating up to three days/week, with the remaining days (at least two full days) in the office 2

5 Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Abilities: Demonstrated experience facilitating racial equity and inclusion related conversations and trainings with multiple organizations. Demonstrated experience guiding racial equity and inclusion related processes successfully with numerous professional organizations. Strong sense of integrity, ownership, responsibility and follow-through on all aspects of personal and professional engagement. Embodiment of anti-racist and intersectional values. Strong team player who is supportive and communicative. Embody a learning orientation and willingness to participate in ongoing professional and personal development around equity, diversity, and inclusion. Strong strategic communication skills, including but not limited to verbal, cross-cultural, and writing. Highly organized and able to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team. Able to work in a fast paced, high intensity environment. Able to meet deadlines and tight turnarounds on assignments and tasks. Flexible - able to work evenings and weekends as needed. Strong customer service orientation. Administrative skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel.
