Today in a Globalized environment when Business is becoming more complex the need for effective communication hardly needs any emphasis. 5 Raghavendra Professor Area of Organization Leadership, Strategy and Communication Prof. Suresh is well rounded HR professional with 25 strong and vibrant years of rich experience and proven track record in Human Resources Management Function in different corporate sectors (Manufacturing, and IT). He holds a BA, LL.B, an MBA, PG Diploma in Training and Development, PG Diploma in IR and Personnel Management and a PG Diploma in Labour Laws and is described for his effective translation and alignment of Corporate Business Strategy to HR strategy. He is an effective Recruiter, Trainer, Coach and Mentor with strong Employee Engagement and Industrial Relations experience handling employee grievances, wage settlements, collective bargaining and dealing with unions effectively. He has also handled successfully, many corporate Acquisitions and Mergers. A note on his Training engagements: Prof. Suresh is well known for his trainings in the area of Soft Skills for executives across all business levels and is renowned for institutionalizing the entrepreneurial culture and high performance culture. He is renowned for his sessions as a dedicated corporate trainer for companies like Huawei Technologies, Tarang Software, ITC, Maintec, Sanovi Technologies, and Trident Hundai etc. where he concentrated on developing talent through managerial effectiveness, personal effectiveness, developing leadership skills which concentrated on personal and professional etiquettes and communication to a great extent. Prof. Suresh has also conducted Developmental Trainings at CRMIT Solutions on Leadership & Communication, at Sansera Engineering for supervisors, middle level managers and new leaders on Managerial Effectiveness and Effective International Business Communication. He has also conducted sessions on Effective Supervisory skills at Canara Bank, and on Communication (Oral and Written) and on Proposal Writing at Blue Ocean Technologies. As the HR manager and leader at various companies, Prof. Suresh has been keenly involved in Employee development especially in areas of communication and personal and professional conduct. His areas of expertise lie in Talent Management, Learning and Development, Culture Building and Alignment, Performance Management, Attrition Management, Bringing out Innovative policies & Implementation, and Competency Building etc. On the academic front, Prof. Suresh has conducted guest lectures at prestigious institutions such as IIM Kolkata, IIM Lucknow, IIM Bangalore and XLRI, Jamshedpur. He conducts sessions on HRM, Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship for the MBA students, the executive students and the corporate programs at Alliance University. His professional career: Prof. Suresh started his professional career with EID Parry (I) Ltd. and has had successful stints with companies like Hindustan Photo Films Ltd, Hindustan Lever: Ponds (I) Ltd, BPL: Telecom and Software Division, Mphasis -BFL Ltd, Tarang Software Technologies where he served as GM- People Development and Sanovi Technologies where he served as the Director Human Resources. 6 Prof. Capt. A. Nagaraj Subbarao Director Human Resources at Alliance University and Professor at Alliance Business School Introduction: Prof. A. Nagaraj Subbarao is a passionate teacher and you would find him in class talking and debating the concepts of Human Resource Management, Organization Behaviour and International Business. He writes on whatever catches his fancy and blogs at capnagaraj.blogspot.com as well as on LinkedIn. Experience: Prof. A. Nagaraj Subbarao is a Master Mariner, with a specialization in Dredging Technology. He has commanded state of the art ships and began his career with the Merchant Navy., before turning to academics. He has worked on world renowned marine engineering projects all over the world, capping his sea career with Palm Islands and The World. He has wide international experience in the areas of Human Resource Management, Ship repairs and Training. He has been a professor over the last seven years and has published and presented several papers. He is also trained successfully at various industries and his Management Development Programs on Leadership and Decision Making have been well received by executives from across industry. As a Sr. Program Director at Alliance University, School of Business he has an interesting, multifaceted job that ranges from Business Development to Operations Management, Audit Surveys and maintaining a P&L account from a SBU.
