6 Course Duration Expected Duration The program is designed to be delivered over 4 consecutive days from 9am 5pm each day. Combined Training is able to support participants that need additional time. Assessment Requirements Assessment Requirements The assessment is conducted using a combination of demonstrations, role plays, verbal questioning, written responses to questions and active learner participation in simulated workplace tasks. The following provides a brief explanation of the assessment methods that are to be applied: Demonstration / Discussion. The student is required to demonstrate a range of skills whilst being observed by, or interacting with, the assessor. These activities will be clearly explained and always relate to duties relevant to operating as a taxi driver. These activities allow the assessor to observe the student apply their knowledge and skills during practical activities. Produce Workplace Documents. The student is required to produce a range of written documents based on real workplace situations. These may include processing fare payments, completing vehicle maintenance requests and shift reports, etc. These activities will be integrated with practical assessment. Written Knowledge. The student is required to undertake a number of written responses to questions over the course of his or her study. These questions will be provided to the student by the assessor at the end of each competency and the student will be required to personally complete the written questions prior to the conclusion of the course. The student may research their answers from the course training materials, student manual and notes. The above assessment tasks can relate to multiple units of competency as we have attempted to remove the unnecessary repetition in the assessment. It is for this reason that a student WILL NEED TO COMPLETE ALL ASSESSMENT TASKS over the full four days of the course before they can be issued a unit of competency.
