3 Training & Recruitment Learning & Development Supported Employment Work Based Training We offer a bespoke supported employment service for people who are furthest away from the job market. Our aim is to secure and retain paid employment for our clients through a personalised approach that is designed to bring a value to both the individual and employer. We recoginise that the employer plays an integral role in the success of our clients employment retention, therefore through our management and consultancy team we dive into the detail behind the key components of supporting someone into employment. We explore and exploit the patterns and themes of the supported employment journey, the different approaches, job retentions and the learning outcomes. Whilst we can match skill sets with job roles, we believe that matching individuals personalities with that of an organisations culture can significantly improve the outcomes and longevity of the working relationship. We also offer our clients in house training with our qualified trainers and work coaches to address any barriers into the work place. We provide opportunities to gain essential work skills through our work based training programme within our events and project management service. There is also the opportunity for work placements and immediate fixed term paid employment contracts. 8 A message from the co-founders This is the page where we are supposed to tell you who we are and why we are doing this, giving you an insight into our journey so far and try to explain which of the many different events in our lives were the real turning point for us. In truth, it was a latte, a Belgian bun and yet another conversation deliberating the what ifs of life. Apart from being women of a certain age where menopause is a scary word and wrinkle cream is our new BFF, we, like others, valued our work/life balance and financial independence but craved the opportunity to offer an alternative approach to business. Having extensive experience working in both the private and public sector we were well aware of the very different approaches each had towards the management of business. We recognised the real benefit and opportunity that each sector could gain learning from one another and knew we had the knowledge and expertise to facilitate this. We could also actively promote the triple bottom line' approach and its social, environmental and financial rewards. Yes, we wanted it all and soon realised that we could have just that, a strong commercial organisation but with an emphasis on kindness, integrity and equality as key drivers. We can t explain why on this particular day we decided to take a leap of faith and jump off the cliff, but we did, we like to say it was an act of passion and on that very day we started to put into practice what we believed in and created something of our own, Enterprise East was born. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the endless support, encouragement and belief in our vision from our loved ones especially in the early stages of building the business when days rolled into nights and vice versa! Finally, we would like to share a little secret with you, we don t always follow the norms especially if we think there is a better way! So I m afraid we don t really do meetings but we do offer good coffee, fresh cake and stimulating conversation, so if you would like to discuss any of our services please feel free to get in touch.
