The programme aim is to increase once a week participation through high quality casual badminton opportunities in Higher Education Badminton England provide resources and support worth up to 850: PlayBadminton framework, a menu of products designed to attract a different segments Library of resources, templates and case studies Fantastic enrichment opportunity for a student including HE Officer training HE Officer bursary towards training and education The University agrees to individualised targets, based on delivery of weekly casual badminton opportunities, increasing & retaining participants, and return of data Recruitment of a student volunteer HE Officer to support delivery

5 Student employability & sport: BUCS employability research 2013 More than half of graduates say sporting involvement has helped them develop team work skills and leadership qualities Nine in ten (94 per cent) of employers questioned identified a clear link between university sport participation and valuable skills & strengths in potential employees Employers say its not just about playing, the 'added value' comes from organisational skills and taking on responsibility.

8 HE Officer Alumni Tegan first became a HE Officer in 2010 at St Marys University, and she stayed in the role for 2 years before successfully being employed as a sport development officer at Sport St Marys, she now works at Imperial College London. Jeannie was a HE Officer at University of Worcester in She took part in a summer work placement scheme at Badminton England, and is now employed full time at Badminton England in the Education and Training Team.
