3 Members of the Blue Badge scheme, will automatically get a space We will deal with your application within 7 days, once approved by your line or contract manager If you travel by motorcycle /scooter, you will automatically get a space to park but please still complete the first section of the online form. Vodafone employees can apply for parking as part of a car share group (instead of individual permission to park). If we cannot accommodate your parking onsite, you may be allocated parking at an offsite location. The number of parking spaces at individual sites will be driven by space available, planning permission and government policy. There may also be agreements in place restricting parking by Vodafone people within a specified distance of your site. Everyone with a parking permission will be asked to reapply 12 months after their last application so that our database is kept current. 4 How do I get in and out of the car parks? Where we have barriers, they operate by recognising your car number plate. Should the barrier fail, then please swipe your ID access card at the barrier to exit. For car share groups, please swipe your group exit card at the barrier. If you travel by motorcycle/scooter there s a separate motorcycle path at the exit of each car park that has no barrier. 5 Will I need a windscreen permit to display? We will provide windscreen permits where required and to those using the impaired mobility spaces. 6 What happens for new starters? New starters can park for the first two weeks of employment if their application has not yet been received or is being processed. 7 What happens if I m on maternity leave or long-term absence? (Employees only) When you become pregnant, please let us know and we will work out how to make your parking arrangements as easy as possible. Don t forget to let us know when you intend to go on maternity leave and subsequently return to work and we will update your details. If you are going to be long-term absent for any reason, please let the travel team know. 8 What happens if I have an unplanned or an emergency situation? Please contact the travel team as soon as possible travel@vodafone.com so that we can work out how best to support you. If you re an employee in a car share and need to return home (or some other location) in an emergency you can ask your line manager to authorise a taxi and reclaim the cost on expenses. If you re a permanent Vodafone employee without permission to park, you ll be given some wild cards annually to help cover emergency situations.
