Thank you for your interest in employment with the Hampton County School District 2. The following information will help to ensure that your application is complete and you are an eligible applicant for the vacant position. Step 1: Classified/Substitute Applicants Download the Employment Application from the district s website at: hampton2.k12.sc.us or pick up an application from the human resources office. To be considered as an eligible applicant for employment the following information or documents must be either electronically sent to the human resource office, mailed, faxed, or hand delivered: A completed Hampton County School District 2 application. Applications from other organizations will be accepted, but a Hampton County School District 2 application for employment is still required. Cover Letter and Resume Three (3) completed work related reference forms. Please note: The above required information and documents MUST be submitted in order for you to be considered for employment. If you are selected for an interview, additional information may be requested and required. Transcripts/Degree (s)/licenses Certificate of Evaluation for Criminal Background Check Tuberculosis Completed applications will be kept on file for one year. After this period, you must update and re-submit your application in order for your application to remain active in the application pool. Step 2: Interviews Once you have completed the application process, your file will be reviewed and considered for employment. If selected for an interview, the HR Director, Principal, and/or Hiring Manager for the position will contact you to schedule an interview date and time. If you are not selected for an interview, you will be contacted by mail to inform you of this decision once the position has been successfully filled. PLEASE DO T CONTACT THE SCHOOLS OR DEPARTMENTS REGARDING INTERVIEWS. Step 3: Hiring Approval A representative of the Human Resources Department will contact you to OFFICIALLY offer you the position and schedule a meeting time to complete the necessary new hire documents. Additional Vacant Positions: If you would like to be considered for additional/multiple vacant positions you MUST apply for each position. This can be done by going back into the proper application and adding an additional job under the Employment Position section of the application. If you have previously turned in an application (Applications are kept on file for 1 year), please submit a letter of interest and specify in your letter the date that you completed your original application. ACKWLEDGEMENT AND AUTHORIZATION Hampton County School District 2 ( the Company ) may obtain information about you for employment purposes from a third party consumer reporting agency. Thus, you may be the subject of a consumer report and/or an investigative consumer report which may include information about your character, general reputation, personal characteristics, and/or mode of living, and which can involve personal interviews with sources such as your neighbors, friends, or associates. These reports may contain information regarding your credit history, criminal history, social security verification, motor vehicle records ( driving records ), verification of your education or employment history, or other background checks. You have the right, upon written request made within a reasonable time after receipt of this notice, to request disclosure of the nature and scope of any investigative consumer report. Please be advised that the nature and scope of the most common form of investigative consumer report obtained with regard to applicants for employment is an investigation into your criminal background, education and/or employment history conducted by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, or other outside organization. The scope of this notice and authorization is all-encompassing, however, allowing the Company to obtain from any outside organization all manner of consumer reports and investigative consumer reports now and throughout the course of your employment to the extent permitted by law. As a result, you should carefully consider whether to exercise your right to request disclosure of the nature and scope of any investigative consumer report. I hereby authorize the obtaining of consumer reports and/or investigative consumer reports by the Company at any time after receipt of this authorization and throughout my employment, if applicable.
