11 Guideline Enhancements Now Proposed Benefits Provides information to various audiences & stakeholders Is process oriented with limited options to manage non-compliance Outlines processes & steps Requires proponents to retain services of one specific BIA to coordinate communications Identifies application requirements to film on public property Targeted information, and creation of new resources for other stakeholders Provides general direction and decision making support through Policy Adds support and commitment statements Centralizes approvals & communications to/from municipality Requires all productions to make application public and/or private property Greater clarity / reduced confusion on stakeholder roles and responsibilities Greater clarity & enhanced ability to manage all aspects of filming Acknowledges industry & value to our community Greater clarity on authority, approvals, communications for all stakeholders Focuses on safety & wellbeing of all

12 Guideline Enhancements Combines multiple other, yet specific, requirements in one section Now Proposed Benefits Current municipal permit fees is $100 and applies only to municipal ROW Make separate, distinct provisions for heritage sites, seasonal periods/ events, business areas, etc. Separate application fee for all productions (public/private) - $25 Greater clarity to minimize impacts to our community Better ability to monitor film activity (ie: protective services, disruptions, etc.) Provides information to public and industry as required (reactive) Municipal forms on website are in.pdf format Increase permit fee to $150 Streamlines and provides proactive communications Create e-form and e- payment service offerings Provide enhanced services at affordable rates Improves communication between community and film industry Improves efficiency of processing applications
