1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Location Band Hours of Duty Accountable to Accountable for Any Special Conditions Learning Facilitator Based at Touchstones Rochdale, but with minimum 60% of time expected to be spent in education and other centres across the Borough and wider North West Region Band 4, Salary 20,810 to 24,426 per annum (pro rata) 29.6 hours per week, to include days, evenings and weekends. Post-holders will be required to work flexibly and at times irregular hours to meet the needs of the business Programme Manager N/A Evening and weekend working will be required, as directed by the service. This will include providing these services at any other Link4Life locations and external venues. Must be able to drive and have access to a car for business use. Link4Life operate a Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) policy of working hours. There is no provision for smoking. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB The post holder is responsible for the design and delivery of creative, participatory learning workshops in Touchstones Rochdale as well as education and community settings across the Borough, Greater Manchester and North West Region. The post holder will develop links and working relationships with education and community organisations, be responsible for promoting the learning programme and managing the learning booking system. The post holder will be required to be extremely flexible with working hours and locations as it expected that delivery will take place across the whole of the North West Region. The post holder will be required to have an Enhanced DBS Check

2 Principle Duties 1. To work with the Programme Manager, teachers and other teams to create the learning programme. 2. To deliver the learning programme in Touchstones, education and community settings across a wide geographical area. 3. To deliver other workshops as required on behalf of Touchstones. This may include holiday activities, adult learning or extra-curricular classes. 4. To manage all learning bookings as part of the service from initial contact to final completion and evaluation. 5. To work with education establishments/centres across the borough to maximise their participation within the service. 6. To work with the marketing team to ensure the learning offer is appropriately advertised. 7. To work with the Programme Manager to create funding bids to ensure maximum impact of the learning programme. 8. To keep up to date with best practice in delivery of learning workshops. 9. To manage contents, distribution and planning of loan boxes offer. 10. To track and report information about service users. 11. Using Artifax spaces management software and in conjunction with the Programme Manager to maximise the efficient use of space within Touchstones to ensure that the internal learning workshops and other activities are planned effectively. 12. To represent the service at meetings within Link4Life and externally where appropriate. Secondary Duties 1. To participate in any training initiatives, as trainee or trainer/assessor, in relation to the duties of the post and ensure that personal qualifications are kept valid via attendance to training as provided by the service as reasonably practicable. 2. To provide cover as necessary in the absence of staff. 3. To work at other venues as required.

Financial/KPIs Responsible for achieving budget targets as agreed with line manager. Responsible for achieving key performance indicators as agreed with line manager. Buildings/Equipment/Materials Responsible for all relevant equipment required to deliver workshops. Health / Safety / Welfare The post holder is responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of himself / herself and other persons who may be affected by his / her actions or omissions whilst at work. Additionally, he / she is responsible for maintaining and implementing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and for the execution of any duties and responsibilities attached to the post within the Company s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures. Training and Development The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the identification and undertaking of his / her own training and development requirements in accordance with the Company s Employee Development Scheme. Data Quality To ensure that the Company s policy and procedures in respect of Data Quality is adhered to consistently and at all times in respect of any data collected or used in the planning and delivery of services. Performance Management To promote and practice a performance management culture within all facilities and services within the post holder s remit, including the setting of team and individual performance targets and the implementation of robust monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems.
