3 Safety, Quality and the Environment Our five year Safety, Quality and Environmental Strategy puts our customers and our people at the heart of our business. Our ambition is that through the development of people who are committed to our company, and our client drivers, we will create a working environment where our own people are our on-site champions, looking after themselves, their colleagues, the infrastructure and the environment. 4 Engineering Led It is a core belief of Keltbray that real client value in cost, quality, time surety and safety are, and should be, driven from the very front end of a project. We believe our in-house design consultancy, working with our clients, partners and operational teams can drive and maximise client value against all project objectives. Keltbray s in-house design companies offer comprehensive Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Environmental and Rail Engineering expertise. Wentworth House Rail Systems is a leading provider of electrification design and consultancy services to rail companies and contractors across the UK. Our team has extensive experience in all aspects of railway, from permanent way, civil engineering and structures, to electrification, including D.C. and A.C. Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) and rail contact systems for heavy and light railways. Based on our understanding of the relationship between railway electrification, signalling and track, we ensure minimal visual intrusion and maximum rail operational flexibility. Our Rail design business is part of a wider Keltbray design capability which specialises in structural, geotechnic and environmental engineering supporting rail projects when required. 5 Delivery Electrification Keltbray Rail has one of the largest Design and Overhead Line Project Management and Construction Teams within the UK. Our people are highly trained, experienced and committed to ensuring the safety and quality of Network Rail s infrastructure. Keltbray believes that through early engagement real client value can be driven from the front end of a project through to completion. As a company that prides itself in direct delivery, our commitment to training is at the heart of our business. We believe our training and direct delivery model ensures the highest standards of safety and quality are honoured on all of our projects. When operating in new areas, Keltbray is committed to securing and developing local labour, developing their skills through our locally established training centres. This strategy offers significant social and economic projects, including minimising travel times, project costs, providing a long term sustainable resource whilst reducing our carbon footprint. Delivery Rail Engineering Keltbray Rail has highly experienced multi-disciplined teams within the UK who are committed to ensuring the safety and quality of Network Rail s infrastructure. Keltbray Rail s Rail Engineering division undertakes civils and permanent way projects fully supported by our own safety critical labour supply and plant. The business has a proven track record of delivering on the most complex projects for our clients whether we are designing, constructing, maintaining or renewing. Our rail engineering experience has helped build a client list that includes some of the most important rail companies in the country. In addition to Link-up approvals, Keltbray Rail operates under a Network Rail approved Principal Contractor Licence allowing independent worksite management and control on rail networks. We maintain our On-Track Plant Operations Scheme Licence, allowing the Company to operate road rail vehicles and maintenance machines on the rail infrastructure. Keltbray Rail s strength comes from its in-house company capabilities with qualified and highly experienced.

6 Plant Keltbray Rail owns 68 Road Rail Vehicles, including the largest fleet of rail electrification MEWP s in the country, to carry out electrification, permanent way and civil engineering projects. Our dedicated maintenance and operational teams ensure that our plant is maintained to the highest standards and operated to fully comply with our On-Track Plant Operations Scheme Licence. This capability gives us confidence that our people are working with the best maintained equipment available therefore ensuring their safety and ability to deliver. As part of Keltbray s ongoing investment and commitment, a further significant investment in the first 5 of 10 new Rail MEWP s providing specialist 10m reach capability have recently arrived in the UK. 7 Training Our philosophy for training all personnel is paramount for the safety and quality on the rail infrastructure, not only for internal personnel but external clientele. On major programmes we have experience of undertaking a leading role in training for cross-consortia purposes. Keltbray Rail operates five training centres logistically placed in Ashford, Basildon, Bridgend, Crewe and Rugby covering a range of training, including: Electrification Installation Training Technical OHL Training Occupational Skills Specialist Construction Skills Permanent Way and Plant Civil Engineering Our Crewe Training Centre provides training for internal and external personnel in our industry leading overhead line training facility. We have the facility to undertake training on bespoke and repetitive installations of OHL Electrification Systems. Keltbray Rail s resource strategy is to develop local people for local projects.
