We invite yu t wrk with us t help build a better wrld. Psitin verview Lirata s Research Officers play an imprtant rle in the delivery f ur cnsulting prjects. Wrking as a member f ne r mre prject teams, yu will partner with ur cnsultants and leadership t deliver utstanding services t ur clients, wh can range frm individual scial change campaigners t large cmmunity service prviders r gvernment departments. Yur rle will fcus n prviding technical supprt fr ur prjects. We rely n yur nus and experience in data cllectin, data management, analysis and reprting t generate new knwledge that plays a vital rle in shaping prject utcmes. Yu will: Assist us t design and implement rbust, fit-fr-purpse data cllectin methdlgies and tls. Establish and maintain data management systems t maximise data security and integrity. Undertake desk-based research such as dcument reviews and literature reviews. Analyse data, cntribute t prject findings and the frmulatin f new insights and framewrks. Cntribute t reprts and ther publicatins t cmmunicate findings fr maximum impact. The majrity f the wrk in this rle is ffice-based. Depending n yur skillset, yu may als prvide assistance with client-facing activities such as interviews, fcus grups, wrkshps r n-site data extractin. Cnsulting wrk can be demanding. Yu will be respnsible fr meeting prject deliverables in a timely way and with high quality. Yu will need t wrk efficiently and with strng fcus t achieve this. Outstanding attentin t detail is required. Cmmunicatin and teamwrk are vital, and yu will need t excel at thinking thrugh cmplex subject matter, writing clear dcumentatin and crdinating yur wrk with clleagues. Accuntabilities AREA Research and analysis ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist with creating data cllectin tls (e.g. surveys, interview guides, audit tls, Wrd templates, spreadsheets, cnsent frms) and assciated guidance dcumentatin. Analyse cmplex qualitative and/r quantitative data, crss-check results and dcument findings with a high degree f clarity, including preparing graphs, diagrams and ther visuals summarising findings frm analysis. Where apprpriate, assist with cllectin f data thrugh mechanisms such as surveys, interviews, fcus grups, audits and/r bservatin. Undertake desk-based research such as review f client dcumentatin and literature reviews, and dcument findings with a high degree f clarity. Prepare written reprts and ther research-related dcuments t a high standard f cntent and presentatin, and revise these based n feedback. Cntribute t the frmulatin f prject findings and recmmendatins. Advanced training r study (e.g. pst-graduate study, in-depth training) in research, evaluatin, data management r a related area. Knwledge, skills and experience Essential 3. Demnstrated understanding f scial science research methds and ethics. 4. Excellent quantitative analysis skills, with a demnstrated track recrd f successfully cmpleting cmplex quantitative analysis (including data cleaning, and descriptive and inferential statistical analysis). 5. Skills and experience in desktp qualitative research (e.g. cnducting literature reviews, designing and implementing surveys, and/r analysing text-based data frm interviews r fcus grups). 6. Strng written and verbal cmmunicatin skills, including demnstrated capacity t dcument the findings f research and analysis in clear and accurate reprts. Standard ffice hurs are 9.00am 5.00pm, hwever we have strng capacity fr flexible wrk arrangements. This psitin is likely t require sme wrk frm hme. All psitins are subject t a frmal 3 and 6 mnth review. We may ffer yu an initial fixed-term r prject-based wrk arrangement while we assess whether we are able t ffer yu further emplyment. All Lirata staff (including subcntractrs) must wrk within ur rganisatinal plicies and prcedures, including ur Cde f Cnduct and ur perfrmance management system. All psitin descriptins are subject t peridic review in cnsultatin with staff. As Lirata is a small rganisatin, there is substantial flexibility required within the rles f staff.
