5 Fnding NY PFL Costs spposed to be fnded by payroll dedctions. The maximm employee contribtion for coverage beginning on 1/1/2018 is 0.126% of an employee s weekly wage, p to and not to exceed the statewide average weekly wage. This eqates to a maximm employee contribtion of approximately, $1.65/week for This amont is sbject to change September 1 st of each year. ERs permitted, bt not reqired, to collect the weekly employee contribtion on Jly 1, 2017 for paid family leave coverage beginning on Janary 1, Jackson Lewis P.C.

12 Compliance Strategies Confirm whether yo will self-fnd or insre the PFL benefit. If applicable, develop a labor relations strategy for approaching the nions to obtain their agreement to permit payroll dedctions. Review PFL forms EEs mst complete to apply for and receive benefits. Determine how forms will be integrated into crrent leave practices: - Who will send NYPFL forms, review responses and follow p on deficiencies? - Does it depend on whether there is FMLA overlap? Determine whether and to what extent the PFL benefits overlap with company leave policies and/or CBA benefits. Develop systems to provide written notice to employees that all overlapping leaves will rn concrrently. Ensre that a written PFL policy is distribted before 1/1/2018.
