2 To log into the Staffing Management System Online Demo, go to As shown above, use the menu bar to click on Software located under the Products category.

3 On the software page, you will find a link to the SMS Online Demo (highlighted above). Click the link to go to the Demo.

4 In order to view the Demo, you will first need to add the Application Server Address to your popup blocker. 1. Access your popup blocker settings under Tools Popup Blocker in your web browser menu bar. 2. Enter into the field as shown above and click Add. You are now ready to log into the Demo Application.

5 Enter your Company ID, User ID and Password. After login, you will be immediately directed to the homepage of the application, called SMS Today. From this screen, you will be able to access all areas of the program. To the left, you will see Navigation buttons for SMS Today, Employees, Companies, Workorder, Reports, Settings and Applicants. In any area, you may click Help for help. From SMS Today, you will see announcements from Angel Software Kinetics, Inc., Remote Workorder Requests and any Online Applications that have been received.

6 First, we will explore Employees. For the purposes of this program, an employee is defined as anyone who has been entered into your database. In the Employees screen, you will see a list of all employees beginning with a particular letter in alphabetical order. You can browse the employee list or search for a particular employee by typing in the last name and clicking Search. You will also notice that more option buttons show up in the bottom left-hand side of the screen. This list of options will change depending on what screen you have accessed. To view an employee detail, you may click on the employee s name.

7 Employee Detail: On this screen, you will be able to see all the information on a particular employee. Please note that the Options in the bottom left-hand area of the screen have changed. You may add this employee to the Hotsheet, view any work orders that this employee is attached to, view any action codes, education, employment history, any timesheets for the employee or delete the employee. You can also click on the Employee Skills link to add or delete employee skills. Note: at any point in the program, Cancel will bring you back to the previous screen.

8 Employee Skills: When you click on the Employee Skills link from the Employee Detail page, you will be able to add or delete skills from that employee. When you select the Add button, a popup box will appear to walk you though the addition of a skill. You will first select the skill category, then select the actual skill and finally enter the amount of experience the employee has in the skill.

9 When you click the Add Hotsheet button, you will be able to add the employee to the Hotsheet. This is a list of employees who are ready and need to begin work right away. It s an easy way to keep track of those employees who will work immediately, if needed.

10 Work Order List: When you click on the WO List button, you will be directed to any work order that the employee is tied to. Find Employee Kelly Trenchard to see an active work order. To see the details of a workorder, click on the client s name.

11 Action Codes: By clicking the Action Codes button, you can see any action codes assigned to this employee (these will indicate what has happened with this employee, ie accepted assignment, called in sick, completed assignment, etc.). Click on the comment to see the details. You may also add action codes by clicking Add.

12 Employee Education: This screen will show the education level of the employee (College, degree, etc.), as well as any test scores that your company may give. For example, typing words per minute. You may also add education levels as well as edit any test scores.

13 Employee Job History: This screen will show any jobs that the employee had held prior to joining your applicant pool. You may add and delete companies from this page as well. Click on the company name to view the detail.

14 Employee Timesheet: When you select Timesheet from the employee detail, you will be able to see any timesheets that have been logged for the employee. Simply click View to view the timesheet data.

15 Company List: Selecting Companies from the left hand menu will bring up a list of all companies that your Staffing agency services. To view detail about a company, click on the company name. You may also add a company by choosing the Add Company button. Finally, you can view all Company level reports by clicking Reports.

16 Company Detail: When you click on the company name from the company list page, you will be sent to this page where you can view any details about your client. By clicking on the Contacts link, you can add and remove any contacts. On the bottom left of the screen we see the Company options. The DNR list is a list of employees that the client has asked not to be assigned to them. Directions will allow you to view and print directions to the client.

17 Workorder Listing: Selecting Workorders will return a list of all workorders tied to the Client you have selected. Clicking on the Order ID (4 as shown above) you will be able to view a detail of the workorder.

18 Active Employee List: Click on Timesheets to view a list of active employees for the client. The list will only show employees currently assigned to that client. Click on the name to view the timesheets for that employee.

19 Timesheet Listing: When you click on the employee s name, you will see a list of all timesheets that have been entered for that employee while on the current assignment. This is also where new timesheets will be added.

20 Workorders: When you click on Workorder from the SMS Today page, you will be shown a list of all workorders (the default view is all remote workorders). A workorder is the request that you receive from a client. You may look at different statuses by clicking the links above the list (there a five statuses: Active, Offer, Open, Closed, Remote). Active returns a list of all workorders that are currently filled with an employee. Offer returns a list of workorders that have positions that have been offered to one of your employees, but not yet accepted. Open is a list of workorders that have not been offered nor filled. Closed is a list of workorders that have been completed (i.e. a limited time project has been completed and the client no longer needs that position to be filled). Remote returns a list of workorders that have been entered by your clients from a remote location. Each of your clients will have the ability to enter a request to your company from anywhere with an Internet connection. You may sort the returned list by Position or Date by clicking on the link at the top of each column. Click New WO to add a new workorder to your system. Reports will allow you to run the reports for Workorders. Refills will allow you to view any workorders that have been refilled (refilling workorders will be described later). Click on the Client Name to view the workorder.

21 Workorder Detail View: Here, we see the detail for an Active Workorder. You can see all information about the client, what requirements the assignment has, the position, the markup, the workorder status, etc. Clicking on Requirements will allow you to add and remove requirements for the position. By scrolling down you can view any assigned employees. Refills In the live version of Staffing Management System Online, you will have an option on this screen for Refill. This will allow you to remove the currently assigned employee and add a new one. By having this as a separate option, you will be able to see how often you need to change employees at a particular worksite for a particular job.

22 Assigned Employee List: When you click Assigned Employee, you will be able to see any employees that are currently assigned and/or assign employees to the workorder. To add an employee, you may either click search (the program will search the database of employees for matches based on the criteria you choose) or manual (this will allow you to manually choose the employee you wish to assign).

23 Employee Search: When you click on Search from the assigned employee list, you will see options to choose by what criteria to search. After selecting the criteria, click Search and you will see a list of employees to assign.

24 New Workorder: To create a new workorder, click on New WO from the workorders view options, and fill in all necessary information. Then, click save.

25 Reports: Clicking on the Reports menu button will take you to a list of all reports available to you. To run any report, simply click on the link. For example, clicking on College List will return a report of all employees who have some college.

26 Settings: Clicking on the Settings menu button will allow you to edit action codes to suit your company s needs, edit skills that are available to choose for any employee and add any unemployment statuses that you may need. You may also delete any of the above that you do not need.

27 Action Code Editor: You can add any action codes or delete any action codes from this screen.

28 Skills Editor: You can add new skill categories and skills, or add skills to the current categories as your business needs change.

29 Applicants: When you click on the Applicants menu button, you will see a list of all applicants that have not yet been accepted as employees. These are people who have completed and submitted the online application. To view the application details and/or accept the applicant as an employee, click the applicant s name.

30 Applicant Detail: You may view thin information contained in the online application from this screen, and then accept or deny the application. Accepting the application will enter the applicant s information into your database. If you choose to deny the application, the applicant will be deleted.
