Our Mission In partnership with our community, recreation, tourism and local economy, we enhance and effectively manage the Great Ocean Road coastal environment. We do this by reinvesting the income generated through our caravan parks, leases, permits and licenses back into conservation, facilities, assets and infrastructure and education and engagement programs. 2 Great Ocean Road Coast Committee PO Box 53, Torquay Vic 3228 Phone: Fax: ABN: The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is responsible for the management of 37 kilometres of the iconic coastal reserves on Victoria s Great Ocean Road from the rolling waves of Point Impossible east of Torquay to the dramatic Otways at Cumberland River, southwest of Lorne. The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation. Our role includes: Building and maintaining a wide range of facilities, assets and infrastructure from artwork to amenity blocks Operating caravan parks in Torquay, Anglesea and Lorne Issuing leases, licences and permits for various commercial and one-off activities and events on the coast Undertaking weed eradication and other programs to protect the sensitive coastal environment Contributing to the areas overall amenity in any number of ways, including removing rubbish from beaches and coastal reserves Designing and delivering a diverse range of special projects You can find out more about the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee at our website 2

3 About the GORCC Office The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee operates a small but busy office in Torquay, occupied by the executive leadership team and other support staff, who oversee and support the organisation. Purpose of the Position The Administration and Finance Officer is based on a full-time position and is accountable for the provision of high quality administration, executive and finance support. Roles and Responsibilities The Administration and Finance Officer is responsible for providing finance and executive support with the key responsibilities being: Administration support Reception duties Provide administrative support to the management team Maintain a high standard of presentation and operation of the GORCC office Overseeing filing and administrative systems Process correspondence, s, letters, reports, telephone calls in a professional and timely manner Event management including administration, correspondence, handling queries, issuing invoices, maintaining events calendar and communication of events calendar to internal and external parties as required Maintain tender register Arranging events and workshops Improvement of procedures where appropriate Maintaining the Lease and Licence register Assist with taking minutes in meetings and compiling Board reports when required. Finance support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support including accounts data entry and processing, raising invoices, processing invoices to be paid, cheque payments, reconciling payments, daily bank reconciliation, follow up on outstanding debtors, banking of cheques and handling accounts payable enquiries with creditors Assist in the preparation of BAS for GST compliance Maintain and control the petty cash function Process and reconcile credit card payments Payroll support including process weekly payroll, maintain payroll system, maintain payroll and employee files Assist in the preparation of Superannuation contributions and compliance Keeping up to date with relevant awards, workplace agreements and other payroll functions 3

4 General Liaison with the general public Liaison with Board members, staff and key stakeholders Selection Criteria 1. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to provide high quality support and meet deadlines 2. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills 3. Well-developed computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook 4. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including ability to draft reports and correspondence and deal with people from diverse backgrounds. Qualifications and Experience 1. Experience with book keeping or financial and RMS software would be considered an advantage 2. Relevant qualifications or experience in similar roles Terms and Conditions of Employment Salary: Status: Term: $63,000 per annum (plus super) (depending on experience) Permanent full-time (38 hours per week) 2 year contract (opportunity for extension) A copy of the conditions of employment will be supplied with the letter of offer. Special Characteristics A component of evening and weekend work may be required as part of the normal hours of duty for this position. Time in lieu provisions will apply. A performance framework will be applied to this position. 4
