2 Hello Thank you for your interest in this position and we hope you find the information in this pack informative. We also encourage you to spend time looking at our website. We have a four stage process which allows us to get to know you a bit better with each step. 1. Upload your CV and a covering letter by 31 May Your covering letter should persuade us why you are the ideal person to go onto our Development graduate scheme and address the things that we are looking for. 2. After the closing date for applications we will sift through them and let you know if you are going through to the next stage. 3. If you get through this stage, we will then ask you to complete an online assessment. This is scheduled for the week of 20 June The final stage is coming to see us for a day at our assessment centre in London on 1 July We use a variety of group exercises, role plays, case studies and interviews to see how you present yourself, interact with other people and analyse new information. You will learn a lot from the experience of our assessment centre about the industry, about One Housing and about yourself. We will give you feedback on your performance throughout the day, whatever the outcome. We know that applying for a job is a two way process, so there will be opportunities for you to get to know us and meet a lot of our managers at the assessment day. There will also be plenty of occasions to ask us questions and make sure that we are right for you. If you re successful, we will expect you to be ready to take up your post in early September although it may be possible to start sooner if you re able to.

3 Hints We recommend that you read our hints and tips so you can make the most of your application. We will only accept online applications. If you are asked to undertake the online assessment, you will be given a deadline for completing it. Think about why you re interested in working in our Development directorate and what you ve got to offer. Make a list of your skills, qualities, and then compare them to the characteristics we re looking for which you have read on our site. Do they line up? We ll be looking for your strengths and these characteristics all the way through the process, starting with the application form. When you give an example, make sure that you are specific about your role, contribution and end result. If you have limited work experiences then you can use experiences from school or university, outside interests and hobbies. Take your time with your application and proofread before you send. Be patient. We will get back to you as soon we can. We wait until after the closing date before we start to read every single application. If you re invited to an interview, it s because we like what we ve seen so far so try to relax and be yourself that way you will truly show us what you are made of.

7 Job Remit Post Title Line Manager Location Department/Team Graduate Project Manager Development Manager / Pre Construction Manager Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1 Development Grade 3 Budgetary Responsibility None Version Control Version: 1 Date: May 2016 Job Purpose and Background The two year Graduate Project Manager scheme will provide you with an in-depth understanding and enable you to develop the skills required for a career working in Development which includes Acquisitions, Pre-Construction and Construction. During the programme you will work collaboratively with internal and external teams and support the delivery of the Development strategy within agreed timeframes and budget, ensuring systems and procedures are effective and followed. At the end of the programme we expect that you will progress to a full Project Manager role. Principle Outputs & Responsibilities Manage projects to meet approved targets in accordance with corporate procedures Maintain project information and reporting on project progress Maintain project files, compliance with audit requirements, compliance with key document information Lead project teams of external consultants and contractors as the OHG corporate client Consult with internal departments and providing them with timely and accurate information Produce accurate monthly cashflows for all projects Recognise, eliminate, minimise or control the risk associated with all schemes Develop and maintain good relations with local authorities, tenant groups, the GLA, HCA and other funding authorities and partners in order to expand the activities of the organisation Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Degree level education or working towards a degree Good level of IT, numeracy and literary skills Knowledge of the Housing Sector and One Housing s activities Experience of designing and producing performance indicators that measure business activities for senior executives Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience Gain experience of coordinating diverse consultant teams to successfully maximise value and optimised build costs within agreed parameters and programmes Assist the department to deliver value for money - considering budgetary and financial constraints as well as business constraints Assist in maintaining and enhancing relationships with both internal and external customers relating to day to day operations Show ability to influence and effectively manage regulatory requirements affecting the sector and success in delivering complex negotiations to obtain best value for the organisation Develop problem solving and negotiating skills to gain the ability to manage consultant teams to deliver complex projects Strong personal presentation which contributes to the professional image of the organisation Demonstrates long term commitment to the organisation and actively promotes future success Decision Making Accountability Proactively managing contracts and assessing schemes for value for money

9 FAQs 1. Where will I be based? You will be based at our Chalk Farm office, very close to Camden in north London. 2. What degree do I need? We don t mind as long as you already have a degree or are in your final year. If you have studied a property-related subject and are interested in this area then we may try to configure your placements to include it. 3. What happens once I ve sent my application in? We ll shortlist applications and get back to you as soon as we can. If your application is successful at this stage we will ask you to do an online assessment. 4. I graduated several years ago, can I still apply for a role? Yes. The prerequisite for the programme is being on track for or having attained a bachelor degree level (or the equivalent classification from an overseas university). Eligibility for application is not affected by how many years have passed since graduation. 5. If I get through to the assessment centre, will you refund my travel expenses? Yes, though you will need to give us receipts. We can only reimburse costs up to 80. This includes any related travel or accommodation expenses. Standard class travel should be used as well as railcards where possible. 6. What can I expect after the programme ends? A job in our Development directorate with continued career development opportunities. 7. Will I be doing a real role? Definitely from your first week. 8. When would I start? September I want to go travelling this summer, can I do this and still apply? Yes, although you do need to be able to attend the assessment centre on 1 July. The programme starts in September. 10. When do I get paid? On or around the 27th of every month. 11. Will I get a mobile phone? Yes.
