The following vacancy is available from 22 August 2018 PERMANENT (PART-TIME) ENRICHMENT OFFICER Hours of work: 18 hours a week, term time only Between p.m., 5 days a week (flexible) This role will include very occasional evening work (Salary: Point 18, 17,100 (Actual: 7,295 per annum) (Rising to Point 21, 18,125 (Actual: 7,732 per annum) Salary and terms and conditions in accordance with Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff pay and conditions. 2 Winstanley college ROLE SPECIFICATION JOB TITLE: PERMANENT PART - TIME Enrichment Officer RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice Principal Context Winstanley College employs approximately 200 staff and has approximately students, primarily studying A-Level courses. Key Responsibilities/Main Duties The position of Administrative Assistant will work within a busy administration team fulfilling a variety of tasks commensurate with the role. Key Responsibilities Ownership and development of a particular administrative function or functions. Dealing with enquires both internal and external, conveying self-generated information. Specific Tasks Expert use and training others in the use of specific College equipment used in the day to day execution of set tasks. Initially the role will involve working within the Schools Liaison team. (See task sheet.) The exact nature of the role will vary within the levels of responsibility detailed above. The specific tasks associated with the role will vary annually and be set in conjunction with the Marketing and Admissions Manager and Schools Liaison Team Manager. Skills, Knowledge and Experience The role requires considerable previous experience in an administrative role. In depth knowledge of administrative processes and systems. Performance General Completion of specific tasks to required deadlines and to agreed standards. To be responsible, while at work, for ensuring that reasonable care is taken for one s own health and safety and also for the health and safety of others. To be responsible and take ownership for one s continuous personal development, undertaking relevant training as and when appropriate, including appropriate Health and Safety training.

3 Terms and Conditions Hours of work: 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (with a 45 minute lunch break) term time plus 10 days. However, flexibility is essential as some evening work may be required for which lieu time will be accrued Salary points 18, starting at 17,100 per annum (actual 7,295 per annum) rising to 18,125 per annum (actual: 7,732 per annum). There is a contributory Occupational Pension Scheme and other Sixth Form Colleges terms and conditions accompany this position. 4 Enrichment Officer Task Specification Overall aim of the post is to organise and promote all enrichment activity to prospective and current students. Specifically this will involve, amongst other things: Raising the profile of enrichment activity through: o Generating stories for marketing o Having a highly visible presence for students o Creating cross college events o Advertising enrichment internally especially making sure events are on students on line diaries Organising enrichment activities e.g. First Aid, Sign Language, Red Nose Day/Children in Need fundraising, pyjama day etc Supporting others in the recruitment of students to enrichment activities they re running Co-ordinating Duke of Edinburgh students and maintain the edofe records Supporting the Student Union Executive with decision making, fund raising and the organisation of meetings and events Organising the Enrichment Fair(s) Keeping the Enrichment website updated Ensuring records of participation on the students records are up to date Working closely with the Sports Enrichment Officer to ensure complementary not competing activity Any other activity commensurate with the level of responsibility of the role

5 PERSON SPECIFICATION: Administrative Assistant Enrichment Officer (Scale3) CRITERIA ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE ASSESSED BY QUALIFCATIONS AND ATTAINMENTS English qualification of GCSE standard or equivalent Relevant level 3 or above qualification Disclosure and Barring Service records check enhanced Appointment TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Considerable experience in an administrative role In depth knowledge of administrative processes and systems Experience of using Microsoft Office Willingness to undertake CPD including first aid qualification PERSONAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Possess excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent telephone manner Interview Display initiative, be positive and enthusiastic Calm, with the ability to work under pressure Organised and efficient administrative skills Effective team player An ability to meet deadlines Ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate workload A clear commitment to the College s safeguarding and equality and diversity strategies It would be helpful if you address these criteria in your application
