9 Diversity is linked to a common purpose Connection to a common purpose helps change groups of totally different people Differences in age, gender and education make teams stronger Different people bring various talents to the TEAM

10 A person is like a butterfly in the wind. Some can fly higher than others. But each one flies the best if can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different. Each one is special. Each one is beautiful.

12 Every team member must benefit from the goal. A successful team isn t working for the good of the TEAM leader. Goals must be communicated to members.

13 Successful teams are mutually supportive. Supportive behavior comes from an attitude of trust. A successful team is comprised of members who feel free to share their ideas and concerns.

15 Hard times strengthen the bonds of a TEAM. Many times the bonds between teammates grow in direct proportion to the trials that the team faces. Learn from trials and difficulties. Team members will learn to trust and depend on others more.

22 Be the change you seek I was walking with a Principal that was complaining about the kids leaving garbage everywhere, he was kicking it out of the way I picked up the garbage and threw it away. Good leaders are servants If I want to lead, I had better serve. We are fortunate to have what we have, be productive, be creative, model what you expect.
