Home page Registration: If you have not visited the website before, you will need to register, which can simply be done by clicking Log in now and selecting register to be taken to the registration page.once this has been completed, you will be sent a link to your to confirm your registration. 4 Menu items Once logged in to the home page, you can access a snapshot of the latest information and events by simply scrolling down the page. Home page Another quick way to access information is through the menu bar, which will provide you an overview of: Services: Advisory Board divisions, program home pages and latest featured content. Topics we address: The latest hot topics (most accessed) and Main topics (key areas of research focus). Events: Regionalised events including national meetings and upcoming web conferences. You can register for events through these pages. View your resources: Direct access to your profile, registered events information and which memberships your organisation has access to. 5 You personal profile It is highly recommended every user set up their own person profile and views what information you have access to. This can be achieved through the View your Information menu. Set up and manage your experience Form here, you can manage your events, including upcoming web conferences and events you have registered for, or have in the past. Set up your own personal library and view your saved items including searches, studies and event materials. Manage your subscriptions to news feeds and set up your own topic alerts for areas of interest or specialty. You will automatically be subscribed to the daily briefing and weekly round up. Make sure you update your personal Information, including job title, function and department. This information is used to ensure we continue to enhance the experience of users and invite you to applicable events. 6 Program Home page Each program home page can be accessed through the menu bar, via the Services menu or View your resources > your memberships. By accessing the program home pages via the Services menu, you will be able to see the home page for all programs. By accessing these pages through View your Resources, you will be able to view the content you have full access to. The right hand side provides quick links to the resources available through each program. Each program home page highlights our areas of expertise, provided as quick links to all resources in this area. Further down each page, you can access the latest expert insights, our Resource centres and upcoming events. Each program is led by an expert team, including researchers, consultants and faculty staff and each of their profiles, including short biographies and contact details all which can be accessed here The Advisory Board Company 6

7 Search and filtering results Searching on is achieved through the top right search box, in this example, the broad term quality has been used, producing over 3,000 results. Search results page Each result quickly shows what type of content it is and from which program it comes from, and whether you have access to this resource through your membership. The top result her being a study from the Clinical Operations board. The left hand panel allows you to filter your results, and you can apply as many filters as you require to access the information you need. Filters include the type of content, which membership this content comes from, a language option for Spanish or Portuguese, and topic alignment. 8 Studies Once you have identified a study you wish to view, you will find an executive summary outlining the purpose of the research, an overview of the challenge or areas being addressed and key learnings. Access to full research studies on the go For all studies, you will be able to download a pdf or save this in your library (accessible through the View your resources menu. Many of our recent studies have also been produced as hard copy books, and when available the option to order now will be visible, and by selecting this and completing some short details, copies for this publication will be shipped to you this is a free service as part of your membership. Each study will also provide a easy navigation menu in the right hand panel, allowing you to view and select each chapter, the key lessons and resources available as well as an appendix including tool and templates The Advisory Board Company 8

9 ToolKits Many studies will be accompanies by toolkits, proviiding tools, templates and process facilitation to embed practices in your organisation. 10 Webconferences Through each membership, live webconferences are held to share our latest research and provide an opportunity to interact with other members and the expert team. Participate live or watch in your own time Upcoming events are available through the program home pages or the top menu Events and you can register for as many of these webconferences as you like within your membership. Each webconference topic is also recorded and available on-demand, allowing you to view any topic at any time when available. Each webconference page will provide a link to stream the video, or download this to your own device, as well as provide a pdf of the conference presentation. Related studies or event links are also provided to further your learning.
