5 Assurance Assurance professionals play a vital role in the economy by providing companies, investors and regulators with confidence about the validity of financial statements, business-critical information or processes. Assurance professionals also help clients make informed decisions about environmental policies, governance and management systems and fraud investigation. What does an auditor do? Verify figures in the financial statements by undertaking various audit procedures Identify risk areas and areas of potential fraud

6 Transaction Advisory Services Transactions team assists the client by advising on key transactions and helping the client evaluate, structure and execute their most important deals TAS practice split into 3 sub service lines: Restructuring Transaction support Valuation and Business Modelling Probable that new graduate will get exposure to all 3 sub service lines depending on market conditions

7 Risk Advisory Services Diverse portfolio of clients across all industry sectors, financial services and government departments Advise/assist the client in improving the way their organisations work by identifying, diagnosing and solving complex business problems Advisory team split into 5 sub service lines: Performance improvement Risk IT Risk and Assurance (ITRA) IT Advisory (ITA) Advisory for Financial Services

8 Taxation Different taxation sections/offerings include: Business Tax Services International Tax Services Transaction Tax Human Capital Personal Tax Services Indirect Tax Tax planning Help clients save money while ensuring they meet all their tax requirements Qualification - Institute of Taxation 3 Years

9 Chartered Accountants Ireland Qualification - Chartered Accountants Ireland 3.5 years training contact Lectures Times and length of lectures vary weekends & evenings Study leave CAP 1 6 weeks CAP 2 8 weeks FAE 11 weeks Exam fees, Institute fees and books all paid for by firm

Need at least an A in lower Leaving Cert Maths/C in Higher Maths, C in Higher level English Upload your CV Extra questions How do you support others in a team situation? 12 Application Process 2013 Step 2: On line Aptitude Test Candidates successfully screened through the process will be asked to complete an online aptitude test Step 3: Ernst & Young Presentation Mornings 30, 31 October, 1, 2 November Step 4: Interview 30 Oct 9 November (2 hour slot) First round interview (with one or two EY people) Final round interview (with one person) Step 5: Offer!
