2 About The Indian Institute of Welding The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India) is a national level professional body of welding fraternity devoted to the promotion and advancement of welding science & technology. It was established on 22 nd April 1966 with its head office at Kolkata. It has 13 branches all over India. It has about 4500 members & over 300 industries as Industrial Corporate Members. Besides holding Seminars / Conferences, Courses, IIW conducts Associate Membership Examination AMIIW (Equivalent to Engg. Degree) which is recognized by AICTE & MHRD. IIW publishes Indian Welding Journal, which has technical research papers of high standards. IIW-India is member of the International Institute of Welding & has acquired Authorized National Body (ANB) & Authorized National Body for Company Certification (ANBCC) as per ISO IIW is authorized to award internationally accredited professional certificates such as IWE/IWT etc. IIW-India also conducts its own welder certification program. Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T), Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment has empanelled IIW-India as an Assessing Body for MES courses under Skill Development Initiative (SDI) Scheme for all courses under Fabrication Sectors in all States and Union Territories in India. About Organizers The Indian Institute of Welding, Baroda Branch The IIW-Baroda Branch was founded on 29 th August, 1998 and has strength of about 530 members. IIW-Baroda Branch is one of the most active branches covering entire Gujarat State. It regularly organizes Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Technical Lectures, Certificate courses on WPS- PQR, Welding Inspector and Visual Inspection, Industrial Visits, National Events, IWE/IWT Certification & Best Welder Competition etc. Baroda Branch has been the center of AMIIW Examination from the very beginning. Baroda Branch Managing Committee consists of highly dedicated, motivated and experienced team of personnel drawn from various industries & academic institutions. The last date of registration is 12 th August 2016 About the Presenters A highly experienced engineer that has extensive experience in ASME Code development will conduct this workshop. Mr. Hiren Dalal is currently Manager Code Services for HSB International (India) Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. During his initial career, Hiren has worked with Larsen & Toubro Limited, Hazira works for 10 years as a Manufacturing Engineer for construction of large pressure equipments constructed to ASME Sections I, B31.1, and VIII. Hiren migrated to Canada and worked for Factory Mutual Insurance Company as a National Board Commissioned Inspector, after obtaining his NB Commission and Certificate of Competency from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hiren presently holds National Board Commission with "A", "N" & B endorsements. He is Secretary of International INDIA Working Group (BPV I) an ASME Committee on Power Boilers (BPV I). He is responsible for setting up Non-Nuclear clients for ASME certificate of authorization and provides technical support/code consulting on ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections I, II, III, V, VIII & IX to his clients and his Inspectors in India.
