This includes implementation, monitoring, auditing and troubleshooting of Advanced Process Control & Refinery Automation projects at multiple refineries. Good exposure of Plant Operation, Performance monitoring / analysis of refinery units, Information Systems and Production Planning & Coordination of multiple refineries. Was a member of Profitability Improvement Study Core-Group for North-East refineries, constituted by Director (Refineries), Refinery HQ in Conducted extensive study of existing infrastructure and operating philosophy of Guwahati, Digboi and Bongaigaon Refinery, identified the margin improvement opportunities & potential benefit. Was deputed by IOC management to Emirates National Oil Company, (ENOC) Dubai as APC consultant to conduct APC scoping study and benefit evaluation of various APC strategies. A second visit was also done on ENOC's request to provide assistance in APC technical spec preparation, techno-commercial evaluation of APC bids and technology selection. Retired from IOCL Refinery Headquarters in July 2015 as General Manager (Technical). Presently working as independent consultant in areas of APC, Optimization & Refinery Automation since Participate in many refinery automation projects with various APC / Automation MNCs including Honeywell, Yokogawa, Invensys (Schneider), Emerson etc as Domain Expert.
