1 JAMAICA MONEY MARKET BROKERS LTD JOB DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATIONS JOB TITLE: DIVISION: DEPARTMENT: SECTION/UNIT: Client Insight Analyst Jamaica Marketing Client Insight REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Corporate Manager Client Insight SCOPE OF JOB: The Client Insight Analyst is responsible for gathering, analysing and disseminating data regarding current and prospective clients/client segments, market, competitors, products/services and campaigns, to contribute to the measurement of performance and the strategic planning and execution process. The Analyst should have experience planning, coordinating and conducting where necessary various types of research and be able to work with manager to interpret the findings. IMMEDIATE REPORTEES: Not Applicable MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares key performance reports and maintains dashboards that help Marketing focus on performance drivers. Emphasis on demonstrating campaign successfulness, channel comparisons, and client engagement review. Executes analysis of client databases to generate required reports on trends, and behaviour of particular client segments. The Analyst should also support the execution and tracking of targeted sales and marketing initiatives. Assists with the segmentation of the client database to identify target clients ( sweet spots ) for various marketing and sales initiatives

2 Works as a key advocate for the voice of the client by assisting with the dissemination of research findings via and presentations to key stakeholders. Executes data mining efforts to select target groups of clients for targeting in marketing campaigns and at marketing events Provides a framework for tracking of responses to marketing campaigns and events to provide feedback to improve future segmentation and targeting efforts. Prepares research proposals to ensure proper alignment of research projects with stakeholder needs and strategic outcomes. Generates research tools (e.g. questionnaires, moderator guides) required for key studies to gather external client related data such as for the customer satisfaction and engagement survey. Executes data mining to generate target lists for JMMB frontline teams, as required, to assist in sales efforts. Generates research or client insight reports through the identification of key insights based on primary or secondary research findings or a combination of primary research findings, international or local studies/literature and JMMB database analysis. Plays a lead role in the Measurement and Evaluation Process by: o Providing ROI (return on investment) analysis of all Marketing campaigns and Marketing-supported Sales activities; and o Tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns for products, services and business lines. Plays a lead role in the gathering of competitor information such as products, services, marketing initiatives, social media presence, followers and strategic information to maintain a competitive intelligence database. Generates competitor intelligence report(s) for dissemination to key stakeholders as required. Supports the development of the client insights function at JMMB through the identification of new technologies and developments in research based on internet searches which may be used to improve efficiencies and enhance the quality of client insights provided by the function. Supports the coordination and execution of commissioned client or market research to enable effective execution and timely completion. o Work with third party suppliers to execute research, ensuring the appropriate methodology is employed. o Support the refinement of research findings and the identification of business relevant implications and actions. o Support the design, deployment and analysis of surveys, ensuring clear, concise and business relevant implications arise for each. Collects and reports on changes in economic, demographic and business environment that could impact clients attitudes and behaviour towards spending/saving, financial products and financial institutions.

3 Provides support in the design and execution of internal research studies to gather data for client insights. Design includes the identification of appropriate research methodology and sample selection. Generates relevant research tools such as questionnaires and focus group moderator guides required for various research studies. Supports the Product Development & Management Process by: Providing insights to guide understanding of target market segments. Providing input for the development of business cases through the generation of client insight reports related to proposed new products. Executes data analysis required for secondary and primary research studies. Prepares consistent weekly/monthly, and on demand unit reports to be used internally and externally to monitor progress of the marketing unit. Responds to data requests for client data, such as the overall size of JMMB Jamaica client base, business line composition of client base (e.g. products per client and business line per client), and size of client base by branch within established timelines. Generates and disseminates a monthly Client Insight Update info graphic which updates key stakeholders on relevant client insights from research reports, secondary data and competitive analysis. Plays a lead role in submission of data requested to Systems department and follow-up to obtain timely submissions of data for sampling frames, client profiles and other JMMB database determined client insight requests of the organization. Promotes the JMMB s philosophy of the Vision of Love and its unique culture. EDUCATION, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: First Degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis on Statistics and Research Methodology. Excellent computers skills, particularly the Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel to include excel functions, pivot tables. Knowledge of Excel VBA and macros would be an asset. Knowledge of visualization software such as Power BI would be an asset. Competence in using statistical software such as SPSS (PASW) to analyse research findings. One to two years experience in the area of research. Working knowledge of the financial sector instruments, laws, regulations, ethics and professional jargon would be an asset. Training in advanced statistical analysis such as multiple regression analysis, cluster analysis and decision trees would be an asset.
